I woke up the next day at midday. It has been three days since my awakening. It was incredibly hot in room. I looked up as I heard the door open. "ALFIE!!!!!!" I yelled excitedly. He grinned and skipped over. He hugged me very carefully and sat down. "How are you sis?" He asked curiously as he put his cup of coffee on the table next to the bag of twixes Poppy bought me. "Slowly recovering. My ribs and back and head are not so painful." I smiled. He grinned. "That's fantastic. I have some news for you. Well actually, two bits of news for you. That's one reason why I've come to visit apart from the reason that I've missed you very much." He said. I sat up even more, eager to find out. "How about I announce it through pictionary?" He suggested. "Brilliant." I agreed. He rummaged through his bag and brought out a small notepad and started to doodle away. "Okay. Here you go." He stated before passing to me. First he drew a picture of a toilet door that was locked. Next to it was a picture of bun cooking in the oven. It took me quite a while until it clicked. "OH MY GOODNESS YOU AND ZOË ARE ENGAGED AND ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!! OH MY GOODNESS AND YOU'RE HAVING A BABY!!!!" I screamed out of excitement. He nodded. I started to sob uncontrollably. "I'm sorry. I'm so overwhelmed with joy! I'm going to be a sister-in-law and an aunty! Congratulations Alfie!!" I wailed cheerfully. "Thank you!!" He exclaimed before kissing my cheek. We talked about his dream wedding and he showed me vlogs of him and the others for hours until he had to go home. "I'll drop by tomorrow with Zoë. Love ya." He said. "Great! Love you too Alfie!" I replied before giving him another hug and waving him goodbye feeling extremely happy. I was going to be an aunty!!

When I thought my day couldn't get any better, my kids came running in in the evening. My heart immediately filled with warmth. I had missed them so much!! I hugged them all happily and kissed them all over their faces. "Gracie, my sweetheart, I'm sorry about missing your birthday, I had so many plans." I sighed sadly as Gracie greeted me with a kiss on the cheek. She waved her hand dismissively. "No worries mum. I'm just so overcome with happiness to see you awake that I couldn't care less about my birthday. It wasn't your fault this poohead crashed into you." She admitted. I laughed and nodded. "And Sam, Chrissy! How's my little ones?" I wondered. Sam immediately burst into a whole speech about how he was really, really, really, really, really (etc) happy and Chrissy copied him but I swear she added an extra "really" to beat him. "Tell me about your day." I insisted. That was what I missed the most. Hearing about their school and nursery adventures.

Chrissy went first. "I got a good star for sharing my Elsa doll with this girl. Her name was Lilly and she was very nice. She loves Pocahontas mummy, she sang Colours Of The Wind with me." She informed me proudly. "Well done princess." I beamed. Sam then took out a his English book from his Marvel school bag. "Mummy, miss gave me three good stars for my story today. I wrote it about you saving the world with me and we gave money to the poor and set up a charity. We then defeated Loki, even though you think he's handsome. I got top marks on my spelling test too." He announced. I kissed his cheek. "That's my boy." I smiled. He did a little dance. I then turned to Gracie. She blushed. "Um... well, er... I got a level 5a on my poem. That's it really." She shrugged. I glared into her eyes and raised my eyebrows. "That's not all that happened today Gracie, I can read you like a book." I smirked. "Okay, okay... well... i-kissed-a-boy-and-i-kinda-really-liked-it-but-because-i-was-shocked-i-kinda-fainted-and-he-was-taken-back..." She confessed quickly. Joe tried to hold in his laughter but failed. Gracie's cheeks went even more pink. "Gracie, honey, ignore your father, when he had his first kiss he burst into tears because he didn't realise it was going to be so wet. There's nothing to be mortified about. You will get better kisses without fainting in the future. It's all a part of growing up my love. Proof is that your dad got to kiss me eventually, and I'm practically perfection. " I reassured her. She giggled whilst Joe rolled his eyes. She then hugged me "This is why I missed you so much mum. You always know how to make me feel like I'm on top of the world again. You're the best mum in the world." She answered. I kissed her cheek happily and was soon crushed by a huge family hug as they all agreed with what she said. I felt so loved. I was the luckiest person alive to be blessed with such a loving and supportive family who filled with me with so much strength and joy and pride.
