♡︎ — act ii. man of many namesCHAPTER FOUR — broken clocks
❀
"Now when you go out there you need to be sharp." Frank advised, sternness painting his expression as he spoke. "Watch your surroundings, and him. Especially him, you don't know what he's thinking so you gotta make sure you're on top of everything that boy does because the minute you let you guard down!" he paused for a bit looking me in the eye as he spoke.
"You're dead." He huffs out before sitting back against the cushions and throwing an arm around the back of the couch.
"Frank I'm going on a date, not assassinating the president." I was currently stood in front of him blocking the tv with my hand held out demandingly.
"Trust me I'd rather it be that than a date." He mumbled before sighing out in disappointment. "Now move."
"Give me my phone back." I bite back with a smile and finally after fighting him for it for the last fifteen minutes he leans forward drops the device into my palm. "Don't even know what's so special about that damn kid anyways."
"You're only saying that because you don't like him." Stepping to the side I open my phone back up to see a text from Gwen.
'Be there in a few <3'
"Actually.." He grunts in correction flickering though different channels. "That's wrong. I don't like any boy who tries to approach you, let alone take you on a damn date."
I step towards the couch, turning to face the opposite direction before letting my body fall backwards onto the cushioned surface.. "Well..it doesn't matter if you don't like him because guess what."
"What." His head snaps towards me as his brows shoot up signaling to me that he was waiting for me to answer.
"Because I do, and as far as I know that's all that matters."
A huge grin slowly formed on his faces as he laughed mockingly in my face. "What?" I whined completely confused about how what I had said was even remotely funny.
"This boys' making you soft bug."
"Says you. Weren't you like a blood thirsty vigilante something?" My arms crossed over my chest, a serious expression painting my face as he lazily responded with a soft hum.. "Now you're cooking pancakes for a seventeen year old girl everyday and helping her getting ready for her date."
"I thought you didn't like men." His voice cool and casual, he turned back towards the glowing screen in front of him continuing to flicker through channels.
