Lagoona shuffled uncomfortably on your couch as she hugged a blanket closer around her. You walked a cup of iced water out to her and let her sip it slowly. She rocked back and forth in her spot, and her eyes stayed hooded and drowsy.

"What were you doing?" You asked. "Did you take something? Do you need to go to the hospital?"

She shook her head no, causing a frown to form on your face. Your disapproval would normally rip her to shreds, but Lagoona just couldn't seem to care about your displeased expression. You had saved her. You had came to her rescue!

You must've cared about her in some way, right?

She giggled and swayed, and you reached your hand out to her shoulder to steady her. A blush formed, and you sighed.

"Okay, you've definitely taken something." You groaned in frustration. "Come on, to the hospital we go."

Lagoona shook her head no and hid herself deeper into the blanket. Your scent drifted around her, causing her to feel even more light and unexplainably drunk. You pinched the bridge of your nose and exhaled. Your patience was running thin, and you feared you would snap on her.

You sighed and sat on the coffee table across from Lagoona. She watched you carefully as you studied her face.

"What were you doing outside my window?" You asked simply. "Why were you in my back yard?"

"I...um....I didn't know it was your back yard." She looked downwards and clasped her hands together in her lap.

Your gut screamed that she was lying, but what other explanation was there? What were you supposed to think? That she followed you home and passed out in your back yard? What even made her pass out?

"You know, I really think you need a hospital." You hummed.

Lagoona shook her head no. "I don't want to. I'm healthy, I'm fine!"

"Everyone says they're fine." You murmured, and you stood to your feet. "Are you hungry?"

"I-I could eat.."

"Alright."

You walked into the kitchen and grabbed a frozen pizza from the freezer. You sat it in the oven and turned the oven on to the right temperature. Then, you made your way to Lagoona with another glass of water.

She chugged the water the moment you handed it to her. Lagoona had to admit, she was extremely dehydrated.

"You need to go home after this. Want me to walk you there?" You crossed your arms.

Lagoona was never someone you favored, so having her in your home after finding her outside of your window was unnerving. What if she was plotting something? What if she hated you, and she had a whole plan to kill you?

You sighed for what felt like the hundredth time, tired of your own thoughts. The chance of Lagoona hurting you was possible, yet very very low. Why would your mind even create such a false situation?

The smell of pizza reached your nose, and you silently walked back to the kitchen to check on the food. After confirming that it was done, you pulled it out of the oven with a mitt and cut Lagoona out a slice.

You sat it in front of her, along with another glass of water.

"Thank you!" She grinned happily.

You nodded and sat in a recliner close to the couch. She ate the pizza with glee, almost oblivious to her surroundings. You found yourself staring hard at her, a mixture of hatred and pity in your stomach.

But no matter how much you disliked her, you couldn't turn her away when she needed help.

Whether she needed help or not, however, you still had plans on telling Jackson what had happened. Jackson could help keep you safe, and you hoped he could push her away for you. You didn't want to be her friend, especially not after finding her passed out by your bedroom window.

Though Lagoona swore it wasn't anything creepy, you couldn't help but wonder. What if she was watching you? What if she was stalking you?

But for what? Why would she?

Maybe to sell photos of you? Maybe to help a sex ring take you? You didn't know, and you didn't want to find out. The only thing you wanted was for Lagoona to be as far away from you as possible.

She finished her slice of pizza and sat the plate down. She held a shy smile on her face, though it threatened to turn into a full out grin. The edges of her mouth twitched before she opened her lips to speak.

"Thank you so much for the food!"

You nodded. "Yep, anytime."

Your fingers drummed a rhythm on the recliner arm rests from your lack of patience. You wanted her gone.

"So...do you need me to walk you home?"

Her eyes widened. "Uh, no! I can walk home myself!"

She stood quickly and ran to the door before scurrying from your house. She ran as if she were scared, sending alarm bells through your mind. You shut and locked the door behind her, too cautious to take any risks.

You found your phone and checked the time. For as late as it was, you didn't feel tired. You felt scared, and an overwhelming sense of worry stopped you from doing much of anything else. You shrugged and made your way to your bedroom.

You locked your window and shut your blinds and curtains, assuring yourself that no one could see in. Then, you wiggled into the blankets on your bed and huffed.

You couldn't wait to tell Jackson all about Lagoona's creepy behavior.
