beauty in death;
her hands were coated in her own blood, such a substance she couldn't grasp the sight of. She could hear the loudness of his footsteps, feel the smirk that coated his lips. She knew she was dying, of course she had ripped open the wound herself so many ages ago, she never knew anything else, expect death.

his eyes grasped tightly onto the girls form, the way she held herself was rather obnoxious, stubborn even. Her eyes were dull, the ends coated in such darkness it would be surprising if she even slept at night. Her skin was pale, far more then his and he's dead.

Her fingers nails were always chipped, her teeth biting down into them for a sense of security. Her clothes were baggy and dark, like she was wanting the world around her to ignore her.

An outcast that was Cassie Lockharts entire world ever since the mere age of eight she had been back and forth between her home and the hospital. No amount of chemo or medication could help her condition. She wore her heart out on her sleeve, her very being getting more and more worse.

She was an open book, her mind so loud and yet so quiet all at the same time. Edward Cullen in her eyes was just some guy, that she never really spoke with, she would see him a few times at the hospital.

Walking along the hallways, he'd listen to her thoughts with ease, such an easy prey, the girl was dying, surely it wouldn't matter if it was sooner rather then later. He pictured it daily, her flesh in between his teeth, her life slipping out of her eyes.

The taste of the blood coating his tongue her body getting weaker the more he drank. He was gonna rip her apart until absolutely nothing was left but an empty vessel, a shell of a human. She was at an end, and he was gonna be the cause of it.

The moment would be beautiful, almost perfect even, of course he never intended for the moment to slip through his fingers. When he found her, Bella Swan the world was spinning so fast, so quick. Cassie was like a drug, one he needed so desperately, and he would, he'd wait forever just to taste her soul.

But he knew he would never, because she was Cassie, the girl obsessed with figuring out his secrets, the same girl who was always watching him closely.

He knew it was his desire taunting him whenever he would look at her, he ignored it every time, he wouldn't hurt her... not if he wanted to die himself.
