Twelve couldn't remember how she ended up in the air.
And she definitely didn't remember having hands.
Her whole body felt weird really..
But that was the least of her worries, because she was plummeting from the air at such a high speed Twelve was scared she'd go splat onto the grassy floor.
Using her rays was pointless, because for some reason they didn't work.
She just closed her eyes and waited for the worst.
Her fall was broken slightly by the tree branch that cracked under her, saving her from a certainly deadly impact.
"Well..That was lucky.." She looked up towards the sunny skies, "Where am I?"
After about a minute of motionless observing, she felt the sun soon blocked by a shadowy silhouette, "...Hey...Um...A-are you dead?"
At first it took her bit to process, so she didn't reply immediately.
The other...person...took it harshly by the sound of it.
"O-oh my goodness...I-I just saw someone fall and......I gotta go get help..don't panic.."
The voice seemed familiar...
"D-don't hyperventilate- Don't have a panic attack. U-um.. c'mon Thirteen, you can do this.."
Thirteen?!
Twelve cracked open her eyes a little.
"Wh-..what?"
He jumped back, screaming, "H-how are you alive right now?! You fell from u-up there!"
She sat up, much to his horror, "I know! Where am I?"
"HOW DID YOU SURVIVE THAT?!" He balled himself up against a tree, "Stay back! I've got a really heavy bag, a-and I'm not afraid to use it!"
"U-uh, I don't want any trouble from your....bag. And I don't even know how I got here."
"You... fell from the sky..." Thirteen peeked out from behind his.. hands?!
Twelve looked to her own hands, unfurling them one by one, sheer awe adorned her face..
She was.. human.
Well that's interesting.
And would that strange soft stuff get out of her face?!
She really needed to ask Thirteen what happened.
"Ten and three? Where are we?"
"...Do I...know you?"
Twelve was so confused right now, there was too much going on.
"Yes, I know you too! But where are we?" She helped him up, concerned that Thirteen was only staring at her hand.
"I know, they're weird. But we need to go. We can't stay out in the forest! Who knows what's gonna happen out here?"
"...Do I live up there too?"
"What?"
"You said you knew me." He seemed eager, "You know who I am?"
"You're Ten and Three...? I mean you look kinda different, but you're still you."
"That's my name?"
"Yes?...Well, sort of. Your real name's Thirteen."
She recoiled and ducked, but the splitting never came.
