I was maybe about 7 or 8 when this took place. I was sitting in my classroom during lunch break because I didn't have any friends, which wasn't very unusual for a kid like me. Anyways my teacher had given us this group project to work on, so i was sitting there thinking of ideas for when my partner came back from recess.
As I was sitting there I realized someone was watching me through the window. It was my crush. She was maybe a few months older than me, but I still liked her. I've never actually worked up the courage to talk to her....since I was really antisocial and such an introvert. I never quite understood why she liked talking to everyone but me. She liked staring at me for some reason. Never said any words, just stared. My partner noticed she was staring at me as well.
He got creeped out by her and asked to change partners. The teacher said no and that her word is final, so he had to deal with it. I asked him if he wanted to come to my house so we could work on it. From the expression on his face I could tell he was wondering if the creepy girl was going to be there. And I reassured him that she wasn't. Although she lived in the same apartment complex as me. Since he didn't know that he said sure.
We went to my house that day after school. It only took my father 45 minutes to get there, but it all worked out. We got to my house and my dad asked us if we wanted a snack. We said yes and to bring it up to my room.
So we were sitting there, and he looked like he wanted to ask something, but couldn't muster up the courage to ask me. I asked him what was bothering him, and he was telling me he was concerned about the kid watching me. I told him it wasn't anything to worry about since nothing bad was going to happen and all she ever did was watch me.
He asked if we could walk around the apartment complex a bit before working. I told him it wasn't the best idea but sure. I knew it wasn't the best idea because of the girl watching me since she lived in the apartment complex.
So we went walking around. He wasn't looking where he was going and bumped into the girl. I could see her anger rising but she tried to play it cool. He got scared because he realized it was her and i didnt tell him she lived in the same apartment. I felt like I should have but I didn't because I didn't want him to worry. So we had a bit of a problem I guess you could say. We tried resolving the problem with the girl but the girl was being stubborn about it. So we ended up just walking away from her and going back to my apartment. When we got inside my father asked how our walk had gone and I told him we ran into the girl across the way and it seemed to have infuriated him so we ran upstairs so we didn't have to deal with it. He gets mad easily.
We went back to my room and finished the project. It wasn't that difficult as the teacher said it'd be.
