Chapter 5

"I think I love you"

Those were the five words that changed my life. I didn't know how to respond at first so I ran my fingers through his hair and kissed him again.

"I think I love you too," I replied and rubbed the back if his neck.

We just sat there for a minute in each other's arm before Steven spoke up. "Will you please stay with me tonight?" I gave him a smile followed by a nod. He stepped out of the car and held out his hand. I gladly took it and Steven pulled me close while walking back to the front door of the house.

When we walked into Steven's bedroom, Emmie jumped up. "Well that took forever! What were you even doing?"

I looked at Steven. "Uh...just talking outside," he said and quickly changed the subject after. "So what movie did you pick?"

"Frozen," she said and tossed Steve the DVD box.

"Oh come on, you pick this one every time!" He whined and Emmie laughed.

"You said I could pick!" She said and Steven put the movie into the DVD player. "Yayy.....thanks daddy."

"Yeah sure," Steven said, pretending to be annoyed as he jumped on the bed. It's fun to just watch the two of them argue sometimes. Somehow Emmie always ends up winning.

*Steven's POV*

I let out a yawn as the movie credits rolled down the TV screen. When I looked at my watch, it said that it was past midnight. I wrapped my right arm tighter around Lauren as her head rested on my shoulder. Emmie was fast asleep between us.

"Hey," I whispered to Lauren.

"Hmm?" I could tell that she was basically asleep.

"You asleep?" I asked.

"Yes," she joked and I laughed.

She lifted her head from my shoulder and looked up at me with her beautiful eyes. "Now that I kissed you once I can't stop kissing you." I leaned down and connected our lips.

"Woah baby!" Emmie said. ( GlennIsBae I'm sorry I had to😂). That started us both and we pulled away quickly. "How long have you been doing that?"

"Okay, time for bed!" I said and Emmie shrugged. "Come on Em." I picked her up and brought her down the hallway and into her bedroom.

She quickly jumped onto her bed and got under the covers. "Love you Emmie."

"Love you daddy," she said and gave me one of her cute kisses. "Wait, but you never answered my question."

"What question? I have no clue what you're talking about!" I said earning a small giggle from her.

"You're weird." That's when I heard a laugh from the hallway. I stood up and walked over to the door to see lauren standing right outside of it.

"Can we help you?" I joked.

"Laur! Come here!" Emmie called and Lauren went over and knelt down next to Emmie. Emmie then leaned over and whispered something into Lauren's ear, making Lauren laugh.

"Why do I have a feeling that you two are talking about me?" I asked and they just smiled and shrugged. "Alright Emmie go to bed."

She gave Lauren one last hug and I kissed her on the head before walking into the hall and shutting the door.

I then wrapped my arms around Lauren's waist and she wrapped hers around my neck. "So do you want to sleep in my room?" I asked.

"Of course," she replied and we walked back into my bedroom. Lauren crawled under the covers with me quickly following her actions. I was on my back and she put her head on my chest.

I guess this stuff is already so natural because of playing Glenn and Maggie but this is better. I had never felt this way before. Even with Jo I wasn't ever as happy as I was in that moment.

Just a little chapter. I'm honestly not liking this book at all and don't know if any of you are either. I kinda want to stop this book......
