I was new to this school, and to this country. I was naive and scared, a typical feeling for a foreign teenage boy walking in half way through the school year. I came here from London, not knowing what to expect in America. I have been told that American girls are cute.
"Do you have everything?" My mum asked just before I got out of the car.
"Yes, mum." I gave her one last smile before completely exiting the momentarily-parked vehicle. I looked back and found her waving and mouthing 'goodbye'. I waved back as she drove off. Now I was alone. A bunch of thoughts and feelings were rushing around inside my messed-up head as I entered the Home of the Bears. I looked down at my map of the school and found the location to the main office to grab my schedule.
"Hello sir! What's your name?" The lady behind the desk asked.
"Tren Walsh" I shyly answered, which followed by a cough to clear my voice. She nodded and shuffled through a bunch of folders until she found mine titled "Walsh, Tren Dominic".
"Here you are! Welcome to Royalton High." She delivered a creepy, but kind grin. I thanked her and was back in the halls. I needed to find where each class was.
Since I was new I was given a pass to allow me to be late to each class on the first day. But right now, I was completly lost. I gave a moment to look around, hoping to find a student to ask where I am. My eyes caught a girl who was against the wall on her phone. I went up to her.
"Hello." She slowly lifted her head up in confusion.
"Hi." A blank expression was stretched across her face but nevertheless, I continued.
"Where is room 723?" That was my calculus class, first period. The mysterious girl took a second to observe where she even was in the large building and then began to talk. "Down that hall, make a left, then a quick right." She pointed her fingure as she talked, me following along to the best of my abilities. I thanked her and followed her previous fingure directions.
"Ok, make a left." Made a left. "Then a quick right." made a quick right.
When I did my head was down, probably not the best idea. I felt myself run into another body, knocking it down and knocking my balance a tad off.
"Ow!" I heard a girly voice squeal.
I reacted quickly. "Oh I'm sorry! Here..." I helped her pick up her books.
I took a look to see if she was okay. The girl appeared Asian, but really pretty. She shied away, and never lifted her head up.
"It's fine." she mumbled under her breath. That was all I heard from her quiet voice.
I grabbed her one textbook along with a piece of paper with an interesting and unique design. It was an impressing detailed drawing of a knife. I was studying it until it was swiped away.
"That's private."
"Oh, I'm sorry." She nodded and walked away. I watched as she left.
At my old town every girl tried to flirt with me and would throw themselves to me desperately, but this gir; she was mysterious and quiet. I stood there for a minute, remembering our quick minute together, and continued my mission. "Wing B" I took a look at the sign and checked my map, room 723 was in this wing. I noticed a few girls giggling and waving at me, so I gave them a smirk showing my dimples and kept walking. Room 723 approached and I awkwardly walked in. The first thing I saw was a bunch of eyes glued on me.
