Chapter 3

I pick up a piece of paper from all my letters "of course, I can try to talk to mom now I'm off the isle, I should get things she likes and pray to her, maybe then she'll hear me," I smile as I exit my dorm "hi again, I uh wanted to thank you for helping me with the names," I nod "uh I actually have a question," I sigh "yeah go ahead" "would you possibly uh run an errand for me? I don't have the money nor do I know where anything is, it'd help me feel like I'm at home" I explain "yeah of course, what do you need" I hand him the list of things "I'll try my best" he says walking away "ah, Nix, can I see your room?" Evie asks so I shake my head "I just asked Doug to run an errand for a few things to make it feel like home when that's done you can look" I explain "okay" 

I sit around waiting for ages until I hear a loud knock on the door so I use magic to open it "hi, I got what you needed from the list," Doug says as I walk over taking the bag. The list from him "thank you, really" I start to close the door only for him to hold it open "uh I was wondering maybe over the weekend I could show you around Auradon with Ben" I nod "I think that'd be useful, I'll see if I'm available" I wave him goodbye before closing the door. "I just realized I don't know how to summon my own mother and letters would take too long to send, but perhaps if I find my own way she'll come to me" I smile as I click my fingers and everything starts to prepare itself. This time it was completely unlike before when I used a little of magic to try to bring it together, so I left my room and knocked on the girl's door to see Evie "You're done?" She asks and I nod before returning to my room with Evie. "Woah, this looks amazing! Even better than mine and Mal's and you have so much space. Maybe we could, you know, try doing something to help us bond in here?" She asks, and I glance at the space. "I'll... I will think about it... Just let me know if you guys need me" "of course I will" Evie smiles before leaving so I also leave to go find the headmistress which thankfully didn't take too long "ah, you must be Hades, daughter, right?" I nod. "yes, I am Nix or Nitix. I have a question for you. " I sigh "of course, what is it? Unable to settle in?" She asks and I shake my head "so I was just wondering if maybe there was a chance for you to lend me some of the books for my classes and maybe some work, I want to try to be on top of everything instead of being thrown into the deep end. I've never been to a school before, an older lady who was like a grandmother to me had to teach me everything she knew from her time so I would like to be able to understand what I'm doing... If that's alright" I explain as I hold on to my arm almost in shame "ah, I see. Of course, I can do that for you, though just for school records, if your mother assumes you know" I look down at my feet before looking at fairy godmother "biologically Maleficent is my mother and Mal is my twin sister however I wish for her to remain unaware of that but for your records, you should put down Hades wife Persephone, I see her more as a mother then my real mother. I'm trying to meet with her since I've only ever written letters, so when that chance arrives, I'm hoping she'll introduce me to my aunts and uncles" I smile "thank you. I must say you are very different to what I imagined you to be, villains are terrible people but you, Ben was right to have you here, you might be the key for the villain kids since your kind and nice" fairy godmother laughs a bit "sometimes things go very wrong to go right. Now if you don't mind I would like to have the school work" I smile and she nods hurrying off "Nitix, how are you settling in?" Ben asks "please call me Nix, it'll be easier for you to pronounce" I laugh a bit "but everything is great, hey maybe I could show you what I did with my dorm room once I get some work from fairy godmother" I smile "yeah, sure. I've got time" I nod "how was living in the isle?" He asks "annoying, the place is overcrowded and just a horrible place to be. There is one school that I never went so this is my first school but I did get an education from an old lady who I see as a grandmother" I smile "has anyone ever told you what you look like" "Mal? Yeah, I get that a lot since she's my twin, unfortunately for me. I was raised separated from her and Maleficent and raised by Hades. I don't see Mal or her pathetic mother as family. Have you heard of Persephone?" I ask "of course I have, she's a greek goddess and also the queen of the underworld" I nod "making me not just a demi-goddess who's training to be a goddess since I know it's possible, but I am also the Princess of the underworld. I only asked about Persephone because she is my one true mother, biological or not she has always been there for me in the form of letters" I place a hand over my heart showing him that's where I hold them "Nitix here is your work, feel free to ask me any questions in class tomorrow" I nod "thank you Headmistress" I smile before heading back to the dorms with Ben "have you ever met Persephone?" He asks "trying to, I never learnt how to summon her so I'm going to make my own way via trial and error" I explain as I open the door "after you, Ben and I am insisting for you to go first" I warn "thank you but you really didn't need to" he says as he enters and I follow "it's kindness" I remind him "you are quick to learn" I shake my head "common sense that I have always had with my grandmother and when writing letters" I explain as we head down the hallway to my dorm
