Fate is Not a Game....

Chapter One

Knock, knock, knock. "Demera dear, are you awake? I made your favourite breakfast! Homemade French toast with scrambled eggs, and bacon! Just the way you like it! "The sweet voice says from behind the door, Sitting up yawning as my wings appear. I yawn and stretch my wings, stumbling off the bed, shivers go down my spine feeling the ice cold tiles touching the bottom of my feet. "I'll be out in a minute mother" I replied rubbing my eyes, as my eyes adjusted on myself in the mirror, shaking my head. "Definitely Can't wear this...." Turning to open the closet door, running my fingers over the clothing hangers until it lands on a bright white dress, and grabs it. Places it on her bed she strips off her light blue nightgown dropping it on the floor. She turns to reach for the dress on her bed to put on. As she slips on the silky bright dress she can't help but to smile. This dress has always been her favourite, because it was her mothers when she were her age. My mother was always fascinated with how the Mortals were able to make such beautiful creations, she also had a taste for gold, she gives a slight chuckle reaching for some golden accessories to match the outfits. She places cute golden chains onto her corset, gold was a sign from her bloodline of Loyalty. she drifts over to her golden vanity, grabbing her brush to comb her long curly brown hair. Her mother always loved her hair and her pale freckled skin. looking at herself in the mirror she realized she was missing the final accessory to go with this outfit. "Demera dear, your breakfast is getting cold" she grabs her golden spiked halo putting it on as she looks in the mirror and pulls two strands of her curly hair out in front of the halo. She smiles, opening her door and walks to the kitchen , her mother is leaning against the counter drinking her coffee. "How was your sleep my dear?" Her mother looks at her with the most beautiful smile when she saw the outfit. "I slept like an angel mother" I say giggling , as I move over to the kitchen counter stools were my breakfast is. "This smells amazing mother!" I say licking my lips before shoving my face full. "Demera dear, don't forget your strawberry milkshake" as the glass slides over to me, I cant help but smile. My mother has always been there for me, for as long as I can remember it's always been just me and her. Apparently her and my father got into a fight the day she was going to tell him she was pregnant with me.... So she moved away from Olympus and moved to the mortal world, I'm honestly happy it's just the two of us. "Thanks mom! Breakfast was so good" standing up and push my chair in walking over and embrace my mother with a hug. "Aw my sweet little Demera, I have a surprise I think your going to like." She says excited as she squeeze me, I smile looking up at her. " you know I like surprises!" I let go and lean against the counter across from her. "Well I know how much you want to explore, and I just so happen to have gotten an invitation to the god and goddess reunion. Which means me and you will be staying in Olympus for a month!" You could tell she's excited to go back home! Honestly I really wanna see what it was like living there! "Mother that's" my mother steps forward and puts her hand across my mouth stopping me from finishing my sentence. "My sweet Demera, That's not even the full surprise!" She says smiling, as she takes her hand off of my mouth. "If you like Olympus when we stay there, they said that they would let us move back into my old house in Olympus !" She says smiling, I grab my mothers hands and we both jump up and down squealing. "Mother that's great news, when are we leaving what clothes do I bring!" I hug her again, as my body is full of excitement and adventure. "We leave tomorrow, I already sent our clothes and accessories up to Olympus, of course some god and goddesses are going to be away for a bit so the first week will just be us setting in" she moves and puts dishes into the dishwasher. "I cant wait to see the places you grew up around!" As I take a sip of my milkshake. "I have many friend back at home, most of them have gods and goddesses just a little bit older then you. I really want you to meet Iris's daughter, her name is Reina, she's goddess of weather. She's a really pretty young goddess just a year older then you, me and Reina's mother have kept in touch ever since I've left, and I remember holding Reina and thinking how much I wanted a child of my own, and then that wish came true." She says closing the dish washer before turning to face me smiling. "Alright my sweet little Demera I have to head off to work, I'll be back right before dinner. Please don't try and unlock your powers when I'm not around.... you know what happened last time." Her sweet smile turns to a glare. "Yes mother" I say looking down, before her soft hand lifts my chin to make me look at her. "My sweet little flower, your powers will unlock soon, I promise" she smiles, and presses her lips against my forehead. "I'll be back soon" she snaps her fingers and disappears, I rub my head. "What am I gonna do all day????" I move over to the living room and flop on the couch. "What am I supposed to do for 9 hours...." Grabbing the remote and turning on the tv, she clicks through channels until she finds a movie. "Kissing booth? I guess I could give it a try? Plus there's two more movies! So that could waste time" as she turns the movie on.

                 5 hours and 48 minutes later
      "Well then that definitely took away some time.... 3 movies done" She clicks through some more movies and turns on a new movie series she wraps her wings around her as a blanket.

                 1 hours and 57 minutes later
"Demera dear, I finished work early. Oh hunny did you fall asleep watching movies?" She giggles, crouching down as she rubs my back, slowly opening my eyes "I guess I must've.... You know it's so lonely when you leave me all by myself...." I say rubbing my eyes and sit up. " I know it sucks sweetie but think of it this way, you'll be meeting new friends in Olympus tomorrow and your going to be so busy" she says smiling, I let out another yawn, my wings disappearing. "Come on hunny, let's get you some food and then you can go rest, you have a long day tomorrow." She helps me off the couch and guides me to the kitchen, opening the fridge as she pulls out left over chicken burgers and fries, she puts some on a plate and puts it in the microwave heating up dinner.

                               2 minutes later
"Here you go dear eat up" she hands me my plate and heats up hers. "Thanks mom" I say as I wait for her food to be done, she pulls her food out of the microwave and comes to sit across from me at the dinner table.  "You didn't have to wait dear." She smiles as she eats. " I wanted to enjoy our last meal in the house together, you know before we leave tomorrow." Yawning and then digging into dinner. She covers her mouth. "You poor thing, your so tired. When your done eating I suggest you get some rest." Eating the last couple fries on my plate. "I'm gonna go get some rest mother" smiling, standing up and pushing my chair in. I walk into the kitchen and put my plate in the dish washer. "Goodnight sweetie" I turn to see her smiling face. "Goodnight mother" I replied as I disappeared into my room, removing the spike halo and placing it on my vanity, move over to the mirror and take off the dress to slip into the light blue nightgown.  Moving slowly to my bed, crawling into it and turning off the light. tossing and turned a bit,  It wasn't soon after that I drifted to sleep.
