The Spell

Jim heard the breaking sound of a vase behind him, he turned but no one was there. He went away. Josie sighed in relief as he left, she heard his phone call as she found out that he wanted to hurt the students at the school. She has to inform the teachers and alert the students but before she could get away with her thoughts she got hit by a metal and everything went black.

Hope woke up with a throbbing pain in her head. Her conversation with Landon last night was quite hectic. She didn't want Landon to go through the same thing she's been feeling for past ten months. The headache in her head brought her back to the reality. She couldn't figure out why she was feeling restless all of a sudden in the morning but she's been feeling restless ever since her mate returned to the school. She has this sudden urge to see her soulmate, hold her, make sure to keep her safe and protected.

She got ready for the day as she went to the cafeteria, her eyes were searching for the brown orbs but she didn't find her. Sophia was sitting alone with no Josie around her. Hope was walking to an empty table when someone tapped on her shoulder
"Have you seen Josie? She was with you so I thought she might stayed the night with you" 'she was there?'
"She wasn't with me, not when I woke up" Hope replied to the blonde twin as they frowned knowing the only option where the brunette could be. They both looked at the saccubus as they walked towards her.

"Where's Josie?" They both asked the saccubus in unison. She blankly stared at them for a moment before replying "She went to her room after our talk"
"She didn't came back to our room last night" Lizzie exclaimed
"Chill she would be here... somewhere" the saccubus said looking around her but didn't noticed the brunette girl.
"You don't know where she is either?" Hope scoffed at her.
Suddenly Lizzie yelped as she felt a sting on her wrist. She looked at that part of her hand which was now formed a rash. The other two supernaturals looked at her observing
"What is it?" Hope asked concerned.
"It's twin burn. She's must have used black magic" Lizzie concluded. They both looked at each other before immediately turns and making their way out of the cafeteria to search the brunette. Sophia followed after them.

At the school exit they were about to move out when suddenly they saw the brunette entering the school premises.
"Where have you been?" Lizzie frowned at her twin. Josie looked at the three girls who stand there waiting for her reply. Hope stand little further as she stood behind Lizzie.
"I went to dad's. He wanted to have a father-daughter bonding time" She shrugged. They all eyed her suspiciously as the brunette realised they didn't believe her excuse
"That's it?" Lizzie huffed
"He also interrogate me about the whole heretic situation... I would've told you but I forget to took my phone"
"Are you okay Jo?" Sophia asked the brunette siphoner looking at her slightly dazed behaviour.
"Yeah. Why are you all bombarding me with questions?" She looked behind her twin as she met with the pair of blue eyes who was already looking at her.
Lizzie was about to say something but Josie beats her to it
"I have a trip to plan, I should go" She didn't wait for another response and left the rest of them standing over at the entrance.

"She's lying" They all said at once.
"Something's wrong with her" Hope said
"She just lied to me, not telling me about the black magic"
"Did any of you noticed she was acting... I don't know like she's on drugs" The both frenemies glared at Sophia as she turns her gaze away.

Josie woke up as she noticed she wasn't in the school. Her hands were tied as she tried to break free she realised it was magic resistance. She groaned as she felt the headache where she got hit on her head. She looked around to observe her surroundings, she was in someone's room. She tried to get free from those restrains but nothing worker. A moment later the door to that room opened and a woman walked in with a tray in her hand.
"Here let me help you" she places the tray which has a glass of water with it on the table in front of her and help her remove the piece of cloth from her mouth and untied her. The brunette was processing the events of what happened to her earlier, once the cloth is removed Josie asked her first thing came to her mind
"Who are you and where am I?"
"You should relax honey, drink some water you have long night ahead of you"
"I need to go back, I have to warn others" Josie said
"You can't leave, I'm not allowed to let you leave" the woman replied standing in front of her with her arms crossed.
"Why am I here? Did Mr. Cullen forced you to do this?"
"Who's that?" The woman asked clearly never heard that name before
"All I know I can't let you leave" the woman said in a serious tone. She untied the brunette as she removed the shackles. Josie pushed her as the woman fall to other side, she rushed out to find the exit and the other woman chased after her. Josie walked towards a door which was opened and hid herself but as she entered the room, the room was filed with chemical equipments but instead of chemicals there was some other type of liquid and ingredients. 'A witch's magic lab'. She recognise the jar filled with red liquid and by the smell of it she knew it was blood. Fresh blood. She move forward to examine the room as she saw hand from the other side of the stand, she could saw the full body clearly when she reached closed to it. It was a man who wore a white apron with spectacles, his wrist was cut by a sharp objects as she can saw the knife thrown near his dead body not far from the blood jar.
"My husband like to work late at night, I literally have to drag him out for dinner sometimes"
Josie heard the woman's voice behind her. She took few steps back as the woman move towards her
"He's dead"
"And I can't save him" the woman sobbed, holding her chest "she told me she would kill our son, I had to let her in" She replied crying
"Who?"
"You might wanna take that drink now" She answered wiping her tears.
