"Do you want us to tell you or do you want to see for yourself first?" Evie asks, taking my hand
"You tell me" I whisper, rocking myself back and forth in the corner of the bathroom
"It's..." Mal starts, about to pick it up
"Girls!" Jay calls
"Shut up!" I scream and then cover my mouth
"Jeez, Y/N" Evie whisper shouts
"I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me" I cry
"Hey, no! It's okay!" She laughs, sitting beside me and pulling me into a side hug
"You ready?" Mal asks and I nod slowly "It's...."
"Girls! I'm sorry for interrupting your girl talk but it's really important!" Jay shouts from outside the door. We all look at each other, hearing the urgency in his voice. I quickly stand up with the help of Evie and we walk out, practically speeding down into the living room
"What is it?" Mal asks
"It's Carlos..." Ben whispers as they all turn to look at me
"What...?" I whisper
"There's no time to explain, we have to go" I nod and we all get into the car and drive to Auradon prep. I get out of the car and run to our old dorm since that's where we were meant to go
"Y/N, wait!" Jay calls, grabbing my wrist "You can't go in yet"
"Why not?"
"We have to wait for the others"
"That's messed up, Ben!" Mal shouts, walking around the corner
"What's messed up?!" I ask
"Nothing" Ben smiles "Go in" I run in and see Carlos on one knee with a banner above him that read 'Happy 3 year anniversary'. Tears form in my eyes and I run up to him, pulling him up and hugging him
"I thought something happened to you!" I shout
"What did the guys tell you?" He sighs
"They told me that it was urgent and to do with you and that there was no time to explain" I frown
"Come on, guys. Seriously?" He wraps his arms around my waist and holds me tight "I'd never leave without saying goodbye to you, I promise" He kisses my nose and then kisses me so I kiss him back "Happy three year anniversary, princess" He smiles
"Happy three year anniversary" I smile back
"Only a month today until we get married, we better start getting the invites and stuff ready" He laughs, taking my hand as we head outside with the others for some games. We get to the field and dude runs out after us
"Wait for me!" He shouts running between Carlos's legs and tripping him, making him fall to the grass. I stand there laughing so hard that people start to look over at us
"You gonna help me up?" He asks, putting his hand out. I give him my hand and then pull him up, still laughing
"That was by far the funniest thing I think I've ever seen" I walk off to the girls in hysterics
"I can't believe he just fell over" Mal laughs
Mal, Evie and I laugh to ourselves before the boys join us and we play some games on the field. After a while, it started to get dark so we decide to drive back to Evie's to watch a movie and eat some snacks.
During the movie, I begin to feel sick again so I look over at the girls who look back at me. I give them a look with my eyes as if to say 'lets go'. I get up and go to walk out
"Where you going?" Carlos smiles
"Bathroom" I smile back.
He looks back at the tv so I walk out and as soon as I'm out of sight, I rush to the bathroom, leaning over the toilet. After a couple seconds, the girls walk in and hold my hair back whilst the other rubs my back
"I'm sorry" I cry "You shouldn't have to keep doing this for me"
"You don't need to say sorry for anything, Y/N" Mal smiles, sitting beside me as I lean against the wall
"Maybe you should do another test..." Evie suggests
"Right now?" I ask and they both nod "The boys are waiting downstairs though, they'll get suspicious"
"They can wait" Mal says, taking my hand and helping me up. She opens a draw and rummages around before pulling out a box "Here... take your time" She sighs
"We'll be waiting outside for you" Evie smiles "Whenever you're ready" They both walk into the bedroom, shutting the door behind them. I sigh and look at the box in my hand
"This is stupid..." I whisper "It's not happening. I'm not- I won't be- I-" I groan and internally scream to myself "This isn't happening" I sigh. I open the box and throw it on the side, sitting on the toilet.
After a while, I call the girls back in and look at them
"Ready?" Evie asks and I nod slowly. We all sit down together on the floor and Mal grabs the test. Her and Evie sit together on one side and I sit opposite them,leaning against the wall
"We can take it as slow as you want" Mal reassures
"I just need to know... I need to get it over and done with"
"Just don't rush yourself, okay?" Evie smiles, taking my hand and squeezing it a little before letting go
"Right" Mal takes a deep breath and smiles "Are you ready?"
"I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be" Tears fill my eyes but I look down to cover it
"You've got this" Evie smiles "We'll be by your side through everything, no matter the outcome. The boys will too. You know Carlos will always be by your side"
At tear slips from my eye and lands on my leg. I quickly wipe it away and look up at the girls
"Don't cry. You're gonna be okay" Mal sighs, crawling over to pull me into a hug. I hug her back and Evie joins in
"Right" I sigh "Let's just get this over with" They both nod and look at each other before looking down at the test. They both look back up at me
