Maya's POV:
It was 6:30, My alarm on my phone going off, I groaned realizing today was another day I'd have to go into the Station with my team hating me. "God damn it." I rolled out of bed, did my business and went to the kitchen and made myself some coffee, Rowan was at my mom's luckily. Quickly I grabbed my phone and realized it was now 7:00 and I needed to get to work. "Shit!" I yelled.
It was 7:30 by the time I made it to the station, I ran into my office and got settled. Just as I went to get up and go call Line Up, someone knocked on my door. "Come in.." I looked up and saw Andy. "You know Line Up is soon" She stared at me. "Uhm yeah I was heading to the barn now, But did you need something else Herrera?" I sighed. "Nope nothing else Bish- Captain." She quickly walked out. I then walked out behind her and into the barn. "NINETEEN LINE UP NOW!" I watched as everyone made their way into the barn. "Today is just like any normal day, get your normal chores done, and be ready for calls.. Also we will be going to Joe's and getting drinks after shift since our last shift was a 5 Alarm and we didn't make it to Joe's. Your dismissed!" I say as I walk back into my office.
The day went by smoothly, no fires, just a few crisis-one calls here and there. I eventually got ready for bed and got some rest in my bunk.
My alarm woke me up again around 6:30, I groaned and got up. Quickly I got dressed and headed upstairs for breakfast and some coffee. "Why did you take Andy's job?" Jack scoffed. "Gibson you and everyone else ask me this every damn day, I did not take her job! You need to get the in line or get the hell out of my station. Are we clear?" I gave him a quick glare. "Yes Cap." He quickly apologized. "Good then, Your on chore duty till the end of shift." I said as I walked over and started making some coffee.
