Just Friends?

Chapter 3

I was walking to the field at lunch when a hand grabbed me and tugged me. I turned around and saw Oscar holding me.
"Oscar pl-"
"Penny, just let me say one thing to you.. please?"
I looked around. "Fine lets go somewhere not in public." He pointed to the back of the field and I knodded.

We reached the field and I sat down. He sat down and ran his fingers through his hair. "Look here Penny". He made me jump, he said in such a serious tone. "When we held hands.. I felt something, you felt something. Mainly it means something."
"Oscar I do-"
"This may break your heart Penny, but-"
"No Oscar, I don-"
"Lets just stay friends, our friendship is so close and I dont want to wreck it."

Im not going to lie my heart did drop but I didnt want to go out either so I was all good.

"Penny? Are you ok?"
"Yea!"
"Oh, you look.. hurt?."
I punched him in the arm He fell back and over exaggersted that he was in pain. He laughed. "Can we hold hands maybe one more time though?" He stared at me. He held out his hand. I looked at him then intwined my fingers with his. He looked at me and came and sat beside me. He wrapped his arms around me. "Oscar! What are you doing?!" But for some reason I didnt want him to let go and he knew it. I leant into his chest and smelt his lynx. I was in heaven.

"Penny!" I jumped up in shock! Tillie! Oh no how long has she been standing there! "Ugh Tillie! This is not what it looks like!" I said. "Dont worry mate, Oscar told me all about it." Tillie and Oscar smiled. "Oh. Ok." I groaned. "So lovebirds, me and Matt are going to the mall after school. Wanna join?"
"You and Matt aye?!" Oscar and I laughed. She rolled her eyes. "Dont even go there!"
