A/N- Hello again! This one's based on a prompt, actually, and once I was done writing it out, I had decided that I didn't like it and wasn't going to share it ever. I was wrong, and will now share it, because I don't care. The original prompt was "the kiss reminded him of chemistry class, where if you mix the correct chemicals, they explode." Thanks for reading, and as always, hope you enjoy.
He kept absolutely still as the footsteps got louder. There was nowhere for him to run. And in all honesty, Lee wasn't sure if he actually wanted to. The classroom he'd decided to hide in was naturally the science classroom, his favorite.
It was going to be the first place that Sawyer would check. Which is exactly why Lee was there for the game. It was large enough, with enough hidden areas for Lee's plan to work. It was elaborate, but it should be okay.
As Sawyer opened the door, a glass vial was knocked over, causing the contents to spill into another beaker of liquid. Sawyer watched as the chemicals changed colors, and Lee left his hiding spot.
"You must think that I don't pay attention in class, don't you." Lee said, as Sawyer turned to meet his eyes.
"Well you haven't failed out yet, so I guess you were doing something right."
"Don't tell me that you didn't know. And that it came as a surprise when Jordan asked you out."
"Oh, you mean that. I'm glad you warned me. and how did you know that she was going to ask?"
"You don't see the way that she's looked at you for weeks now? She was clearly into you. She looked at you like how- like how you watch the science experiments."
"Oh. Well, I turned Jordan down."
"And it's really quite obvious that you--- wait, what?"
"You must be daft."
"But every time I look at you, you're staring at Jordan."
"You really think I'm into her?" Sawyer laughed, "Have you ever seen the way I've been told I look at you?"
"You... what?" Lee needed a lot of time to process everything that had been said so far.
"Dude, I'm not interested in Jordan. And you should be able to see that. After all, it's been six months of this."
"What the hell do you mean?"
"How long have we been lab partners, Lee?"
"Six months?"
"Think about that for a second."
Lee did his best, but was still stumbling over the fact that Sawyer wasn't interested in Jordan.
"So, dating isn't your thing then? Cause that kinda destroys everything I had planned here." Lee admitted.
"When did I ever say that I wasn't interested in dating, Lee? I don't remember saying it."
"But you turned down Jordan. And the only reason that you'd turn down Jordan is if you weren't interested in dating."
All Sawyer did was roll his eyes as he stepped closer to Lee. And so Lee took a step back, to give Sawyer more space.
"I turned down Jordan because there's someone else I've got my eye on." Sawyer whispered, as if the words shouldn't be heard by the inanimate objects around the pair, stepping closer to Lee yet again.
Lee's expression slipped away for a second, as if disappointed, but quickly regained its natural look as he stepped back yet again. Sawyer grabbed at Lee's wrist to keep him from going too far.

Idk lol.
Short StorySo, I wrote a bunch of short stories for a friend that disappeared for a while (which may or may not be a common theme through this). It's fine, and I'm aware that these aren't great. I wrote most of them late at night, and in a notebook (cause that...
