I woke up to multiple texts on my phone from Hu Tao

Hu Tao is my best friend. We've been friends since 8th grade which is about..4 years. She's 18 and has a girlfriend named Yanfei. I've never met Yanfei but Hu Tao seems to like her a lot, so she's fine with me.

As soon as I got up from my bed, I heard a loud bang on the door. Atleast, it was loud for me. I have a condition called Hyperacusis, which makes my ears hypersensitive to everyday sounds. As I walked down the stairs, I saw Hu Tao walking in and putting a spare key in her bag. I gave her a spare key since she always comes over randomly. "Xiao. Why weren't you answering my texts!" She spoke calmly but with the slightest bit of annoyance in her voice, yet trying not to agitate me with her high volumed voice. "I just woke up. What do you want Tao?"

Tao is a nickname I gave her since she calls me 'Xiaoxiao' sometimes, it's really childish but I put up with it.

"Anyways..have you heard about that party coming up on Friday? Lumine and Aether are hosting." A party? She knows I don't like parties though? "Before you say no Xiao! Please just this once? You never come with me and after this I won't ask you again I swear!" She was practically begging and pleading me to come with her to this obnoxiously loud party that I would not be the slightest bit familiar with. But she's been with me through thick and thin, so just this once, nothing bad would happen right? "Alright fine, I'll go." "Sorry for aski- Wait seriously? You'll go?!" Her former gloomy and sorrowful expression soon melted into one of pure joy and happiness, the level of excitement in that smile was surprising for Hu Tao. Even though she's naturally cheery, there's definitely something else making her THAT happy. "What are you planning." As soon as those words left my mouth I saw Hu Tao look as pale as a ghost.My suspicions were confirmed. She's never been good at lying through her teeth.. "Whatever do you mean Xiao..?" Trying to hide her plan (Whilst speaking like a rich snob), she instead goes and puts herself in an even worse situation, typical Hu Tao. "You are never THAT happy if you're not planning something Tao..what's going on." I glared at her with murderous intent in my eyes as I watched her visually shiver. "I'm sorry Xiao! I can't tell you or it'll ruin the entire plan..Please just come to the party at 6:30?" I already agreed initially so why not. "Yeah okay. Whatever." I responded "Yay! Oh thanks so much my pookie wookie" She joked "If you call me that again I'm going to punch you." "Ouch, sorry Xiao, hey.. don't we have to go to Mrs.Lisa's class now?" She questioned as I nodded my head. "Alright, come on and get dressed Xiaoxiao!" She spoke as she forced me back upstairs and into my room. She closed to door after and walked back down..I think. Ah right, I still have to change.
