it felt like last month, or maybe a year, or was it... yesterday? It was cold in the autumn evening when someone called me out while I was sitting on a nearby park bench "hi there, why do you look so down? anything bothering you? you can talk to me if you want!' a boy my age walked up to me and sat down right beside me. what does he possibly want? I've never met him, but why does he feel so comforting? maybe I'm hallucinating or maybe I'm just lonely. I've surely seen him from somewhere right? right? I doubted myself, I'm pretty sure my mind is messing with me again like what has happened for the past few days

"Uh hello?" I said in a soft voice, greeting him, he took my hand for a handshake and spoke out things addressing himself "Hi, I'm Xingqiu the second son of the Guild Manager of the Feiyun Commerce Guild, Nice to meet you, and you are?" this guy has a title to his name huh? "I'm Chongyun, nice to meet you too, what brings you here?" I greeted him too.

we sat in silence for a while, I was staring blankly at the sky, with not a thought in mind, and he spoke "you're that Chongyun fella people are talking about right? the exorcist?" I froze not knowing what to say, he knows me being unsuccessful? an exorcist that hasn't even seen a ghost? being displeased I sat there in silence and yet he spoke again "you're quite shy, not like what I had imagined" what does he think of me? someone childish? oh please, I'm 18! irritated from the thought of it I lifted my feet placed them in front of me and buried my head in them some time later I felt a slight tapping on my shoulder, this guy won't leave me alone what does he want?!

I lifted my head to see his face only a few inches from my face, is he interested in me? my heart was pounding out of my chest, no I shook my head I'm not gay! no way! he chuckled and said, "do u wanna go get some ice cream?" I stopped and nodded at his offer, he took out his hand and I gave him mine, I was dragged into a small part of the city, am I getting kidnapped? IS THIS THE END FOR ME? I panicked inside, thinking of what would happen next. "were here" he faced my way and smiled, this is my personal ice cream supplier, you can take anything you want and even request a flavor!" he grinned and opened the door, the guy greeted him "Ah young master! nice meeting you, what do you need at this time?" it's not a surprise for him to be quite wealthy huh? but why does he wanna hang out with someone like me?!

I shyly walked my way around the cool room while he watched me, seeing all the boxes filled with the frozen treats I love, after a few seconds of walking around one caught my attention, it was a mint popsicle, seems refreshing, I took one and gave it to Xingqiu "I'm taking this one, how much for it?" I said hesitantly "the ice cream is on me" he smiled, opened the ice cream and handed it to me, I took a bite of it to find me being fond of, I smiled at him and continued eating it "seems like young master has taken quite a liking to you young boy, not every day he comes here with a friend, he's always reading in solitude and if not he practices his swordsman's skills, despite his looks he's pretty good at holding a sword" the guy smiled lightly and giggled, Xingqiu turned red in embarrassment and started denying things, funny how I just met him today yet it felt as if I've been friends with him since forever.
