I stood in the room with Victor and Fleur as me and Harry tried to work out what the hell just happened I mean neither of us wanted to be a champion. After a few moments Dumbledore along with the other heads, Barty and some teachers burst in pushing past me to get to Harry.

"Harry. Did you put your name in the Goblet of Fire?" Dumbledore said practically pushing Harry into a wall.

"No, sir," Harry said a little afraid.

"Did you ask one of the older students to do it for you?" Dumbledore said.

"No, sir," Harry said.

"You're absolutely sure?" Dumbledore said.

"Yes. Yes, sir," Harry said.

"But of course he is lying," Madame Maxime said.

"The hell he is! The Goblet of Fire is an exceptionally powerful magical object. Only an exceptionally powerful Confundus Charm could've hoodwinked it. Magic way beyond the talents of a fourth-year," Mad eye said.

"You seem to have given this a fair bit of thought, Mad-Eye," lgor said.

"It was once my job to think as dark wizards do, Karkaroff perhaps you remember," Mad eye said.

"And what of him I hear the boyz skillz are far above that of his class," Madame Maxime said looking at me.

"I didn't do a damn thing like Harry I don't want eternal glory or whatever so if you have some way out of this I suggest you find it," I said and I saw my response had surprised all of them.

"Well said Mr (L/N)" Mad eye said.

"This doesn't help, Alastor. I leave this to you, Barty," Dumbledore said.

"The rules are absolute. The Goblet of Fire constitutes a binding magical contract. Mr Potter and Mr (L/N) have no choice. They are, as of tonight Triwizard champions," Barty said.

Later I was on my way back to the common room only to find Hermione outside waiting for me clearly we had to talk.

"Before you say anything tell me you don't actually think I put my name in that goblet," I said.

"Of course ever since this year started you and have been hanging out together the whole time," Hermione said.

"It feels good to know you are on my side," I said hugging her.

"I will always be on your side," Hermione said.

"But what about the others you saw the way they looked at us we are going to be seen as cheats and liars no one will trust a word we say, Harry least of all," I said.

"What are saying I know that voice," Hermione said.

"It's just others will start to avoid us and if they do I don't want you to purposefully alienate yourself by hanging with me if the others won't," I said.

"No... I'm not going to do that you don't get to tell me who I hang with because I don't care as long I get to hang with you," Hermione said.

"Thanks," I said as we headed to bed.

"How did you do it? Never mind. Doesn't matter. Might've let your best friend know, though," Ron said as I enter.

"Let you know what?" Harry said.

"You know bloody well what. So do you," Ron said seeing I had entered the room.

"Ron you know damn well we wouldn't have done this you have known us for 3 years don't think for a second we would have put our names into that goblet you and I both know that neither me nor Harry want anything to do with this tournament," I said and Ron scoffed before we went to bed.

The next day me and Harry had a photo shoot and an interview with some Daily Prophet writer I tried to avoid it but Dumbledore wouldn't have it.

"What a charismatic quartet. Hello. I'm Rita Skeeter. I write for the Daily Prophet. But of course you know that, don't you? lt's you we don't know. You're the juicy news. What quirks lurk beneath those rosy cheeks? What mysteries do the muscles mask? Does courage lie beneath those curls? ln short, what makes a champion tick?" Rita said as she walked around us.

"I'd like to know what makes her tick," I whispered to Harry and he smiled.

""Me, Myself & l'' want to know. Not to mention my rabid readers. So who's feeling up to sharing? Shall we start with the youngest? Lovely," Rita said as she pulled Harry off to a cupboard.

"Anyone else getting the feeling of stranger danger from her," I said and Fleur giggled.

After Harry it was me I didn't feel like answering any of her pointless and quite frankly boring questions. I decided that if her questions were that boring I would give just as boring answers.

A few days later and I am walking with the others since Hermione refused to leave my side and the others needed her for something.

"lt's already been through enough people. Why don't you just go and talk to him yourself? Ron, this is your problem, not mine," Hermione said.

"Because this ginger-haired idiot has too much pride," I said.

"Go," Ron said

"Ronald would like me to tell you that Seamus told him... that Dean was told by Parvati that Hagrid's looking for you," Hermione said.

"ls that right? Well, you... What?" Harry said.

"Are you sure you won't do this?" Hermione asked Ron so I stepped in.

"Hagrid's looking for you," I said since that was the important part.

"Well, you can tell Ronald," Harry said but was cut off.

"I'm not an owl!" Hermione yelled.

"You sure you don't want to come with us tonight," I asked Hermione as we walked back to the castle.

"I'm sure but do me a favour and be careful," Hermione said.

"I'm always careful," I said.

"What I mean is don't put yourself in unnecessary danger like you did with Lupin," Hermione said as we stopped and she put her hand on my chest where the scars were.

"Okay, I promise," I said.

"Don't die," Hermione said as we hugged.

"Not while you're around never," I said.
