"A Lovely Sleepover to Remember" (A Jetkie Story)

Gentle Storm Night

It was a day unlike any other. Every penguin was doing their own routine, Fishing, eating pizza, dancing, training, and especially other types of fun activities.

But one day in the afternoon at the Elite Penguin Force headquarters, Rookie was minding his own business trying to get his work done, when a weather notification suddenly pops out on the computer.

"Hmm? A weather notification?" Rookie said to himself.

When Rookie clicked on the notification, it says *This afternoon, there is going to be some heavy rain and a possible chance of a thunderstorm heading here.*

Rookie was actually shocked to see that notification and was worried about what was going to happen. That is until he heard a voice at the door, which startled him.

"Hey Rookie, are you doing alright?" The penguin said in curiosity

Rookie turns around to see who it was, and it turned out to be Jet Pack Guy.

"O-oh, y-yeah I was just about finishing up with the files to fill out, hehehe." Rookie replied timidly with an awkward laugh.

"Really? Huh, I also got the same as well." Jpg said with a surprised look when then turned back normally.

"Wait really?" Rookie said looking confused.

"Yeah, and to add insult to injury to me, my igloo is has a power outage and the electriction told me that my electricity told won't come back until tomorrow" Jet Pack Guy said disappointly.

"Oh...sorry" Rookie said a bit sadly.

"It's alright, it's not a big deal." Guy said with a smile.

Rookie felt his stomach flipped inside when he saw his smile. Not only but he also felt heat coming from his cheeks. You see, he had a crush on Jet Pack Guy. At first he thought it was some kind of temporary sickness, but as he got closer to him and also hanging out with him, it affected him even more. He also went to Aunt Arctic and he told him what has been happening to him. Then she told him that it was love. When she told him what it was like, he felt happy, yet it also scared him.

He wanted to get it out of his system, but didn't want to lose his best friend. But then Rookie got an idea, since Guy's electricity is out, he would invited to his igloo. So he got the courage to swallow his nerves and ask him.

"Uh... Hey Guy, there's something I want to ask you. Since the power from your igloo won't be back until the next day... D-do you wanna come over for a sleep over at my igloo?" Rookie asking while trying to hide the nervous that he has in.

Jet Pack Guy was surprised to hear Rookie asking him out. It actually made Guy happy. And Guy couldn't turn that invitation down.

"Sure thing." Jpg smiled softly at him. "But let see what happens after work."

After the two penguins finished work, they all left together, that is until one of the heard a rumbling sound coming from the sky. Rookie was the first one to feel a rain drop, and after that a few more came falling down.

"Oh crud. The weather was true. There really was gonna be a storm!" Rookie panicked.

"Well, we gotta hurry, so I'll us to your igloo" Guy said to Rookie.

"Okay." Rookie replied

As soon Rookie agreed, the Jpg took Rookie under his flippers and lifted off the ground with his jet pack. Rookie almost jumped at the contact and made a noise from pleasure. He felt like he could just melt in his flippers, right there, right now, but instead, he just held on tightly to Guy's grip, a bit tighter than usual. He could even feel his on face starting to heat up, but doesn't want to make him see it.
