The Long Walk

One day, Veronica and Archie are walking

Betty: Gee! Veronica got little Archie to walk her from school! Hmmmph! She thinks a little thing like this, makes me feel bad! She's right It Does..!   Well, Veronica's not the only one that can get little Archie to walk her home! 

LATER..... (Archie's phone rings)

Betty: Hello, little Archie This is.....

Archie: Yeah, I know, It's Betty! What do you want?

Betty: I thought you and I could walk home from school together tomorrow... Just the two of us!

Archie: Why?

Betty: I think it would be fun.

Archie: That's not fun!

Betty: Would'nt it be fun if I bought us each a super strawberry soda on the way home?

Archie: Okay.. I'll meet you right after school!

(Betty Smiles and put down the phone)

Archie: Now why did I say that? Betty tricked me just like what Veronica did! All is I could think of that soda! I don't want to walk any more girls home, even if there's sodas in it! But how can I get out of it?    I know! I'll take Bety home by the Creepy shorcut!  Right through the Spook woods and the Hocomock Swamp! Ha! Betty is a sissy girl! She'll be scared and turn back... Go home another way... By herself!

(House of Betty)

Betty: I'm so happy!! Tomorrow little Archie walks me home from school! And, I'll wear my prettiest dress! Boy! Just wait until Veronica and all the kids see me dribk sodas with little Archie!

(Next Morning)

Betty: This is going to be my happy day!

(Betty dress up and prepare for school)

Betty: Here I am! Ready for our walk home!

Archie: Come on. I know a new short cut!

(on the way)

Betty: Ever since I was a little girl, I've liked shortcuts!

Archie: Then you're gonna Love this one!

(on the Creepy Shortcut going home)

Betty: Ahm! Archie!

Archie: What?! Are you coming or not?

Betty: B..but this is S..spook Woods!

(while walking, Betty stops.. Archie turn his back)

Archie: You can go home by yourself!!!! Faster!!

Betty: I..I'm C..coming! 

(passing the creepy woods)

Betty: Ohhhhhh!! I'ts Creepy Dark!!

Archie: Follow me!

Archie: (on his mind) Ha! She's getting ready to call it quits!

(Betty follows Archie and....)

_ She Loses her shoe and book in quicksand _ Fell into the river _ Harried by swarm of unhappy Bees _ Swings on weary vine _ Bit by ants _ and her pretty dress was cut by a barbed wire _

(Through)

Archie: Hurry! Come on! I want my soda!

(on the way to the store)

People: (laughing) Hey! Here's little Archie!

Veronica: Who's that ball of mud he's got with him?! (laughing)

People: It's Betty! Look at Betty! (laughing) hahahahaha.....

(pasing the store)

Archie: Hey! Where's my soda?

Betty: L-Lets skip the soda today, little Archie! (crying)

(finally, at Betty's home)

Betty: (crying) Goodbye,,, and thanks for walking with me home...

...Archie: Betty! Wait!

Archie: Betty! I'm sorry!.. I didn't want to walk home with you and I thought Spook Woods would        frighten you away... It didn't you're as brave as any boy!   Betty, I think you're wonderful... for a girl,, Of course! If you'll let me, I'll walk with you all this week,,, the Right Way and I''ll buy sodas! 

Betty" Oh! I'd love it! And.....and...

Archie: Name i! Just name it! 

Betty: I want you to gave me something for my scrapbook,,, Come here!!!!

(Betty cuts a little of Archie's hair and paste it on her scrapbook)

(Betty put her scrapbook at her side and sleeps with a smily face)
