Finney x reader

Im walking to school and see a few boys chasing another boy. and it doesnt look like theyre playing tag. 

i quickly run up to them and hit the first boy i come across. The others stop running out of surprise and i take the oppurtunnity to hit another one. his nose bleeds and he stumbles a step back but i kick him in the stomach and he falls on the ground. 

the first one i hit has recovered and tries to hit me back but i quickly step away. his fist hits nothing and he loses his balance. i use that to kick him on the knee and he falls next to his friend on the ground.

the last one hits me from the back and i fall forwards. i roll over and stand up again, hitting the attacker in the same movement. he stumbles back from surprise and falls over one of his friends. 

a round of applause sounds and i look up. there are a lot of students that are standing around me cheering and clapping. I bow for them and make my exit to the school.

i walk out of school when i hear someone yell: "wait!!!"

i stop and look around. a boy is running up to me. i recognise him as the boy i saved from the bullies earlier this day. "What is it??"

"ive got to talk to you" the boy says gasping for air. 

"alright" i say starting to walk again. "do you mind if we walk??"

"no not at all" he says and follows me.

"Well what did you want to say?" i ask

"i wanted to thank you for saving me" he says

"its nothing, everyone wouldve done it" i say shrugging

"not everyone" he says "eventhough those guys were assholes they didnt have to be beaten up like that"

"they were bullying you!!!" i say stopping with walking. 

he shrugs "anyway whats your name??"

"y/n y/l/n" i say holding out my hand

he takes it "finney blake nice to meet you"

"nice to meet you too" i say smiling

finney and i became friends after that and as long as i was with him nobody bullied him. we became very close and we did almost everything together. one day we were walking home from school and finney was awfully quiet. 

"what is it finn???" i ask concerned "why are you so quiet???? did those assholes bully you again???"

"no no its nothing like that" finney says quickly

"then what is it???"

"i-" finney begins a blush forming on his face

"yes??"

finney sighs seemingly trying to prepare himself for something. his face red from blushing he says quietly but i can still hear it: "i think i love you"

i audibly gasp and stop walking "really??"

finney doesnt look me in the eye when he says "yes"

"I think i love you too" i say grabbing his hand. he looks up at me with wide eyes and then smiles

and so we walk through the streets, holding hands and grinning like idiots.
