"So how'd you two meet anyway. Y/n you've only left this town once in our whole lives?" Caroline asked sitting across the table with her boyfriend Stefan. Who was Damon's brother. Caroline and I almost considered each other like sisters even though we're just childhood friends. Laying my head on my boyfriend's shoulder I tilt my head down smiling at the memory. It was the summer before we started high school that I went to a Taylor Swift concert and just happened to meet a mysterious man with Raven hair and blue eyes. That was Damon and he could actually sing to my suprise.

"We met at a Taylor Swift concert Care." I grinned feeling Damon playing with my hair until Stefan broke the silence confusion written all over his face at my words. Granted when I met his brother I had no clue he was a vampire and could have easily killed me that night. "So you expect me to believe that my brother can sing Y/n?" Damon jumps up from the table in the kitchen of the boarding house pulling me to my feet starting to sing to me with a smile. "You were in college, working part-time, waiting tables. Left a small town, never looked back. I was a flight risk, with a fear of fallin'. Wondering why we bother with love, if it never lasts." I intertwined my hands with his singing my part mirroring his smile. "Do you remember, we were sittin', there by the water. You put your arm around me for the first time. Damon decided to twirl me underneath his arm causing me to giggle. My hair flies up as he spins me in circles a few times. "You said, "I remember how we felt, sitting by the water. Stefan and Caroline both watched when he lifted me up in the air actually seeing him being happy after Elena dumped him recently. It was clear he just was waiting to find you. "You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter. You are the best thing, that's ever been mine. Do you believe it. We're gonna make it now." Turning my back into his chest with his arms wrapped around me he kisses my forehead making me kiss his cheek in return. Country music is what linked our hearts together forever.
