Eren's POV

August 17th, 6:55 AM

As the alarm kept blaring for god knows how long, he finally turned it off. He missed it a few times, too tired to really exist, but it's off. He sat up in his bed and looked around his dark room, itching his dry red eyes. As he turned on the LED lights surrounding his room, everything glared in his eyes, blinding him.

"Well, I sure am awake now," he said dryly. He flew his covers off and stood up, finally out of bed. Just as he was about to check the time, his mother, Carla, walked in.

"What are you doing?! We have to leave by 7:10, or you'll be late!" she yelled, annoying him. He just woke up and is not a fan of loud noises, but he chooses not to complain.

"The alarm just woke me up, what are you talking about?!" he yelled back, confused and angry. "I set it to 6:00 am!"

"But did you wake up right away?"

"Of course I did, it's-!" he suddenly paused, looking at the abused alarm. 6:55. "Oh shit!"

"Yeah, oh shit," his mother sarcastically agreed , before leaving the room and shutting the door.

He had time to shower if he didn't waste a second. But could he go that fast this tired? He decided to challenge that question, hopping in and turning on cold water. It was miserable to be in, especially since it's so early in the day, he's freezing as it is. But right now, he didn't care. He just wanted to hurry. He quickly got out and got dressed, in his Slipknot t-shirt, black arm sleeves, black jeans, and many bracelets, chipping some of his red nail polish on his finger as he hurried.

He rushed down the stairs, alarming his mother.

"No breakfast?" she asked, surprised and worried about him.

"I don't eat breakfast," he replied, "It gives me a stomachache!"

"Oh, well, have fun on your first day at your new school!" she called out to him, even though he was already out the door.

Eren doesn't know anything about his new school, but he does know it's within walking distance. He's so worried, he's sweating. Thank god I put on deodorant, he thought to himself. He prefers smelling good, even though he challenges that by dressing in all black and usually hoodies in the middle of a hot August month. He's just happy to express himself and his taste.

As he's walking down the street to go to school, he sees someone yelling at something at a light not too far down.

"What the hell..." he mumbles to himself. He squinted his eyes trying to see who it was, until it hit him. Armin. "Hey!" he yelled at Armin." The kid looked at him, confused for just a second, before he smiled and waved back.

"After catching up to the blonde boy, Eren saw what he was yelling at. The walk signal.

"Uhh, heat getting to your head, Armin?" Eren said, half joking, half worried.

"Nooo... okay, I've been getting dizzy lately, but the light cycle has changed three times, there's no cars around, and THE SIGNAL WON'T TURN ON!" Yup. It was getting to him

"Have you tried pushing the button?" Eren asked.

"B-b-button...?" Armin asked, on the verge of tears. Eren then decided to show his delusional friend the button, pressing it, with the automated response "Wait" being heard. Not long after, the walk light turned, letting them walk.

"Come on, buddy," Eren said to his still friend, grabbing Armin's hand and pulling him to school. "We're late enough as it is."

Soon enough, they made it to school. This time, Eren's nervousness got worse, as he realized he'd have to present himself in a respectable manner. He learned this from his mistakes from his last school, the year before. He goofed around, which not only made him more introverted and scared to talk in the long run, but also made his classmates not respect him. It got worse and worse until he snapped when someone made fun of him. After that, the kid got a bloody nose, and Eren was ordered to move counties. While being nervous, he was also excited for the fresh start. Luckily, now he gets to go to the same school as Armin, who's also new here.

After asking for his schedule with the help of Armin, he saw his first Period was Algebra 2.

"Aw man, I'm going to biology at that period," Armin said with a frown.

"It'll be fine dude, we'll live. See, we have Chem together, and History." Eren responded, hoping to comfort Armin a bit. "Well, cya then." They then parted ways, looking for the right class.

As Eren jogged up the stairs to the Algebra 2 class, he noticed two boys glance at him and chuckle. One was taller with short black hair, and a strong nose bridge. The other was shorter, but with more muscle, and short blonde hair. They were wearing matching jerseys. It's okay, they have their own lives. They're not laughing at you, he thought as he passed them, and opened the door.

"Ah, come in," the voice said, as it noticed him. He then sat down next to a shy looking girl with a hoodie and scarf., looking down, looking... gloomy. He tried glancing at her. I feel I've seen her somewhere, but where..., he thought, not noticing she was looking back. He then snapped out of it, seeing her looking right at him before he quickly turned away, realizing how long they were like that. This'll be one hell of a class, he said to himself, as kids filed in and class began.
