the secrets finally out that i'm going to be in a movie. even though i'm only a supporting character, it's so exciting knowing that im actually gonna be on screen.
i smile slightly at all the nice comments on my instagram post, not caring about the few rude ones.
"tilly! someone's at the door" tristan yells at me from his room across the hall as i hear the doorbell ring. "JUST A SECOND" i shout out, quickly getting off my bed and running downstairs to the front door.
"mason?" i open the door to see mason standing there, out of breathe, holding a bouquet of tulips.
my favorite flowers.
"hey tils" he manages to get out, still trying to catch his breathe, "these are for you," mason smiles, handing me the tulips. i can already start to feel the blush creep up my neck.
i shouldn't be blushing. this is a friendship gesture. he doesn't like me. i don't like him.
"come in, it's getting dark outside anyway" i close the door behind him as he walks inside, "you shouldn't have gotten me the flowers, really" mason quickly cuts me off by wrapping his arms around me in a hug.
a friendly hug. nothing more nothing less.
my arms snake their way around his neck, leaving me on my tallest tip toes. "no, no, wanted to get you the flowers," mason shakes his head, pulling away from the hug with a small smile on his face. "well, thank you, mason" i reply and i can tell i'm smiling like a lunatic.
no one's ever gotten me flowers before. let alone my favorite ones.
"i remembered the question you answered about your favorite flowers on the instagram live we did" mason shrugs his shoulders, "i was gonna get you forget me nots as well, but they were out of stock" i shake my head quickly, gesturing him to be quiet, "these are perfect just the way they are" he nods at my comment, and i notice his cheeks turning a light shade of pink.
he's blushing.
it's only because i complemented the flowers.
no other reason.
MASONS POV
i don't know why i hugged her, because i knew that the second i pulled away from the hug, she would notice the prominent red blush on my cheeks.
i don't know why i got her flowers, i could've done anything else, but no, i chose to do the most cliche thing ever.
when i mentioned that i remembered her favorite flowers from the instagram live, i saw her lips perk up at the corners, and i saw her cheeks flushing a light shade of pink.
i noticed that her hair part was a little off centre and that there were a few stray haired falling out of her braids. i noticed that she only had a couple freckles scattered across her nose.
i noticed the things you could only spot if you were looking closely.
oh god.

MATILDAS POV
"so when do you start filming?" mason asks me, causing me to snap out of the trance i was in. "i think we start filming in a couple months, and it's in Georgia, so it's not far away" i smile up at him, noticing that his expression fauligeres a little when i said a couple months.
"that's pretty soon, how long are you filming for" mason replies, i also notice that he's trying not to flood me with questions.
"well, because i'm not a main character, i'm only filming for a month or two. but i'm traveling home every couple days" i nod my head, shifting my weight from one foot to the other.
"im really happy for you tils"
