Sigh.
Where is he?
I've been in this coffee shop for about half an hour now, and no matter how much i love my best friend, i hate waiting. He's late.
Damn late.
Just as im thinking about leaving, James texts me.
Jay:
Sorry El, i fell asleep, im on my way, love ya xI don't bother replying, i sigh again and continue to sip on my coffee.
Ten minutes later, i finally saw his dark brown hair which i recognised from afar. Our eyes met and i give him a glare, which he returns with a wink.
A freaking wink, im gonna kill him. What a freaking nerve.
"You're late." I glare at him.
"Uh please, the king is never late, you're simply early." He said jokingly.
"Haha funny," I said with a smile, i can never stay mad at that idiot, i mean, look at him.
"So," He stops to sip on my coffee, "what are you planning to do a poem about?"
Poems. English homework. I hate homeworks. But poems? Im in love with it, but to make one? Never.
"I'm not sure, it's due next week right? Give me a break, i just finished my exams yesterday." I groan.
"Oh of course princess, you're the only one in this whole world who finished exams yesterday, you can do the homework next year." He said sarcastically.
"You're so mean to me lately, is it because im fat?" I said in a fake whiny, childish voice.
It's a joke, i used to say it to him back when i was little, i used to be chubby and fat and i am very insecure back then but i've realized everyone is perfect just the way they are, but that's another story.
I'm joking, but James takes it seriously.
"Elly Sara Adams, you are not fat. You're beautiful and perfect just the way you are. You're my best friend and i won't let those negative people get into those pretty little mind of yours." James said with concern evident in his voice.
I look at him, his hazel eyes is so sincere, so caring, so warm and so familiar. He's one of the best thing that had ever happened in my life and im more than grateful to have him.
"Jay," I said softly, "im just joking, okay? You made my fragile heart break, in a good way. I am more than grateful to have you as my best friend, i love ya, Jay."
James smiled at me; "I love you too, you idiot,"
We both looked at each other's eyes for a while, when suddenly we both broke into some kind of hysterical laughter.
"Too corny?" I asked in between laughter.
"Yeah," Jay said, "I think we drank too much coffee."
