Gangster in love

He was not able to sleep. Whenever he closed his eyes he could only remember that scene and the tingling feeling comes again in his stomach. He tried again to sleep closing his eyes. ' Its cute..' her words rang in his ears giving him butterflies in his stomach. "Argh.." he said covering his blanket over his head.

Next Morning, when Jai and Maya we’re enjoying the breakfast, Arjun comes out of his room, with dark circles under his eyes. He looked at Maya      “ Wow! She looks as if nothing happened last night.” He thought.

“Even I didn’t fell asleep, but I have a habit of it now because of you. So I am fine.” She replied. He was dumb struck for a while. How was she able to hear his thoughts. “What did you say?” Arjun asked

“Oh I assumed you might be thinking about the last night, so I replied “ She said

She paused for a second “ Wait a minute. Was I right?” She asked

Arjun slightly nodded but he suddenly snapped out and shook his head to ‘NO’.

She gave him a teasing smile. Jai was all blank as he didn’t knew what was going on.  

After some time they went to those places which they Missed . Maya was clicking pictures of the houses and the area. Arjun suddenly got a glance of her. The passion in her eyes while taking pictures made her look more attractive. His eyes were pinned on her but, realisation hit him and his smile slowly started to fade away.

After some time they all went to a cliff. The whole view of the city could be seen from there. It was a tourist destination. Jai went to bring some refreshments and Arjun and Maya were sitting on a bench looking at the view. 

“Maya.” Arjun called out

She turned her face towards him. “I want to tell you something .” He said 

She was happy as she thought it must the answer of her question from the last night. She nodded and he continued .” Even I like you but....”he paused. That ‘but’ was like a pin which poke her heart.

“...I can’t be with you as...as ..... I am a part of a gang.” He explained.

Maya was taken a back. But she smiled calmly, held his hands and looked deep in his eyes. “It’s OK. I still like you. Even if you are a gang member. But the guy who save me was you . Arjun, not a gangster. And I like you because of that.” She said.

“So you are ok me being a gangster.” He asked 

“No. Absolutely not, who will like to see his/ her love to be in the risk of getting killed. You will have to leave it. But I am not telling you to do is now or something. Take your time. But do it before it’s too late.” She said and gently touched her head on his head. He smiled and slowly moved forward to kiss her but she kept her finger on his lips stopping him

He went back, looking confused.

"First say it." She said giggling. He smiled and said

" I love you too." He said. 

"Ya, now you can proceed." She said giggling they both closed their eyes and slowly theirs lips met.

They all were coming home after a long and tiring day.  It was already sunset .Maya and Arjun held their hands, like a newly wed couple.  As they reached , they saw a man standing outside the house. They went towards him and asked...

"Excuse me. What do you need?" Jai asked

He turned around to look at them. Suddenly his expression changed. He started to tear up and out of the blue he hugged Maya

"Maya. Atlast I found you. Where were you? I was looking for you like crazy." He said.

"Excuse me but who are you?" Arjun said and took Maya behind. 

"What? Maya who is this guy and why is he questioning me?" He asked looking at Maya

"We should be the one to ask you the questions. Who are you. And how do you know my name?" She asked. 

"Maya, I am your husband. Vikram" he said.
