Cassia Morgan despised Tory Nichols.
Every little thing about the Nichols girl infuriated her to no end.
She ruined everything they had built, bit by bit.
Tory had shattered the pieces of their friendship as if they meant nothing to her.
Humiliated her in the worst way possible.
Yet, most of the Morgan girl's childhood memories contained her.
Recollections of their friendship and the way they used to be played in her mind on a loop.
The two hanging out at the playground, unsupervised.
Knowing their parents weren't aware of where they were and probably didn't care .
Their hands intertwined on the swing set, neither girl wanting to let the other go.
Tory holding on to Cassia's waist as she climbed the monkey bars so she wouldn't fall.
Telling each other secrets and laughing until the sun came up, the light was so bright that it gave each girl's skin a beautiful glow.
As they grew older... so did their bond.
The two were the best of friends.
There was no one Cassia trusted more than Tory and vice versa.
Nothing could've come between them.
Until she met him.
