The silent ringing of the phone filled Clover's ears, as she awoke from her slumber. Her eyes drifted open, dragging her to the door of her hotel room. She opened the door slowly. Looking out, she walked quietly to the stairs.

The creaking of the stairs could be heard as she placed her converse on each step slowly. She pushed her body of the railing and walked into the living room, grabbing the bottle of merlot and pouring herself a glass.

The room was silent other then the noise of Merlot being poured into the glass. She lifted the glass up to her mouth and drank slowly, trying to ignore the ringing of the phone. Ring. Ring. It wouldn't stop. She looked over to the phone. Ring. Ring. She walked over to it. Ring. Ring. She picked up the phone. "Hello?" She spoke in a tired voice, not hearing anything from the other line.

Static came through the receiver. She put the phone back, looking back to her glass of Merlot on the coffee table. She picked up the glass and drank it. She started to cough, blood and Merlot staining the white carpet below her. She swallowed, the iron taste of blood mixing with the wine.

Clover's mouth filled with blood as she sat on the white carpet opening her mouth to speak as the blood dribbled from her mouth. She couldn't say anything. Nothing came out. Just blood dripped from her mouth. Silence filled the room. Clover heard nothing but static. She stood up and walked to the stairs, blood still dripping from her mouth onto the spruce hardwood.

Her usually bright green eyes dulled as she fell onto the stairs, her whole body shaking as she looked up trying not to close her eyes. A large dark figure stood before her small body compared to them. Her breaths began to hitch as she desperately reached for the dark being infront of her. Her eyes drifted shut as she tried to climb the stairs towards the being.

Clover jolted up. She looked over to her night stand and grabbed her phone. 6:32 AM. She sighed softly and got up to get ready. She started to brush her teeth as she picked out clothes, Baggy Green T-shirt and baggy jeans.

She brushed her hair and perfected her makeup, slipping on her black converse shortly after. Her green eyes stayed dull. She bit her tongue as she walked into the room of people, the aroma of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and syrup filling the room.

Bow suddenly jumped from her seat and ran towards Clover, putting the taller girl into a tight hug. "Hey girlie! Like you're usually down her by 5:30! What's the deal?"

Bow was Clover's "loud" friend, to say the least. She was always awake at 4:30 in the morning. Early Bird and Social? A little to much from Clover, although Bow was an exception. They had lived together before the hotel was re-built.

Clover saw the dark figure out of the corner of her eye, turning to see it only being Yang.

Salt ran over to the two girls. "Come on girlfriend! Let's like get some breakfast together again! We haven't done that in like a week!" She grabbed Clover's arm and dragged her over the the buffet table.

Salt was an exchange student from Denmark. She had roomed with Clover before Bow came along. She moved in with Pepper, a former exchange student from South Korea.

Clover as Salt had stayed friends ever since and got breakfast together before Bow had moved into the hotel a week before. Bow had lived in her brother's mansion in Argentina away for a while after she moved there for collage.

Most people living in the hotel were in college or just got out of college, some still being seniors in High school. Salt made Clover a plate and make herself a plate as well, dragging Clover over to one of the couches.

Clover sat down and grabbed a glass, filling it with Merlot. She took a quick sip. "I miss her." She mumbled under her breath.

Salt grabbed her hand, squeezing it a bit. Clover looked over. "You alright Salt?" She patted her on the back, only getting a soft reply from her former roommate. "Just felt like something was, wrong..."

Clover looked around, dark figures covering each of the hotel residents. All of them smiling at her.

Clover patted Salts back. "Nothing's wrong Salt. You're fine." As she continued to pat her back, her arm went through Salt's body.

"Salt?" She looked over at her. "Hello?" Salts body was just a corpse. Blood pooling onto her lap. Clover's eyes closed as she gripped Salt's "hand" tightly.

Clover felt her body sink into the couch. Her body functioning on its own. Consistent movements, Clover's control disappearing.

Clover jolted up. Her breaths hitches as she pulled her knees up to her chest and cried, her tears streaming down her face.

She grabbed the pills on her bedside table and took them, washing them down with a glass of Merlot.
