Grass and trees surrounded the area, a new start. Well, It was a few weeks ago, but it still feels new. Seems like just yesterday he moved into his Great Grandfathers house. He built it here a long time ago, just a basic log house. He didn't have much, only a bed, a crafting table, a furnace, and a chest that kept most of his "useful" things. It was food and weapons mostly.
He lived in the middle of the forest, the torches were the only thing holding the mobs back, but that was about to change.
My hands blistered from the handle of my ax, He chopped down about 4 trees, sweat dripping down my face and forehead. His forearms were exhausted, but he kept going, a few more trees were chopped down. He picked up the remaining logs and headed back, the sun was going down. Not much longer 'til the monsters come out... He thought.
He made the logs into planks and made some fences out of them. Maybe he can raise cattle and livestock, but that would require wheat and carrots and he doesn't have any farms yet.
He decided he'd done enough work for today and headed inside. He lit the fire in the living room. He heard the crackle and groans of zombies and skeletons and the occasional hissing of a spider or two. He hated skeletons, more than anything, their stupid bows and arrows firing at you and the stinging of the arrow piercing your legs or arms. Zombies and spiders are okay, slims are easy, witches well... he hasn't encountered one yet, and he doesn't want to.
Enderman, on the other hand, are terrifying. He has only encountered one, and he never wants to again. Although He does not hate them, and he does not know of them either. Mysterious creatures they are.
He realized he was dozing off and headed to bed. His arms and legs were sore from the work he'd done today but it was worth it to get the wood he needed. He finally relaxed and fell asleep.
The next day he woke up, he looked out the window and saw the purples, pinks, and blues of the sky as the sun woke up. The soreness was back, but not as bad.
He decided on making a list of what he was to do today.
One: Make enough room for farms.
Two: Go to the village and purchase seeds.
Three: Build the fence around the house, and set torches on it.
Four: Finally get a donkey or a mule.
It seemed simple, but he had a lot to do today. he enjoyed work sometimes, he loved the way it made me feel like he have a purpose, also having something to do keeps my mind going, and if he was not doing something he would get restless.
He started chopping down trees when suddenly a heard a chuckle, an unearthly chuckle. he's heard it before. He froze in place and looked down. Vvzip~ He heard it teleport, it made a cooing sound than just like that, Vvziip~ It was gone. He looked around, flinching at every sound. he didn't see it again, but he knew it was in the surrounding area. he chopped as many trees down as he could, and quick too.
he got the rest of the logs and put them into the chest in the house. I cleaned the area of weeds and grass. he got my list and checked it off.
Next, he needed to go to the village, I wished I had a mule right about now, The village is a few miles away. IF I had a MULE it would be a lot faster.
After a few times of getting lost in the forest, I finally found it, it didn't take as long as you think. He only had a few emeralds, but it was enough to buy some seeds and crops. The breeze was stronger here, the air smelled of dirt and slightly of wheat.
