A second chance

Chapter 2

When Needletail arrived at SkyClan two days later, Violetshines reaction was similar to Alderheart's. Crying, Tackling, and some jokes. The only difference was she DIDNT FOLLOW HER EVERYWHERE!!!

"Why do you feel the need to come with me?" she asked Alderheart.

"Friendly guarding." he said.

"No offense, but your the worst guard ever!" she joked. "Seriously, what's up?"

Alderheart just looked down at his paws in embarrassment. Whatever was on his mind, Needletail was eager to find out.

"I've lost friends before" he began. "and I've lost you once. I can't have any more of that."

Awwwww. He does care! Note to self, DO NOT DIE.

  "I won't die, silly." she said. "I've don't that once already. Not fun."

"Ok, but I'm still following you." 

He still isn't telling me everything. I'll get it out of you one day.

After a day of talking to other cats, Needletail was tired. She decided to go see Violetshine one last time and then call it a day. When she got to her den, Tree was sitting outside with a friendly smile.

"Hello, Needletail." he greeted. "I see you want to go see V. She's just inside."

V? What kind of a nickname is V?

Needletail walked into the den to see her friend sitting inside. When she saw her, Violetshine shot up.

"Your back!" she exclaimed. "I thought you'd be with Alderheart forever."

"For a friend, he's pretty clingy." 

"Your so clueless." Violetshine observed. "I'd better tell you or you'll never know."

"Know what?" she asked.

What is he hiding. I know there's something.

"He likes you."

Needletail was lost in shock for a moment. He liked her! He couldn't! He was a medicine cat and from another clan. Why her?

"I'm sure he doesn't." she said. "He's just a good friend."

"Sure." Violetshine laughed. "Well, I'd probably get some sleep. It was nice to see you again."

As Needletail walked out of her friends den, thoughts flooded her mind. He couldn't like her. She was a former ShadowClan cat and he was ThunderClan cat. Plus, a medicine cat who she could never be with.

I'm sure Violetshine's just confused. There's no way he likes me.

When she awoke the next morning, there was a rustling beside her nest. She turned over to see Alderheart by the wall twitching roughly.

She decided to get some fresh air and get away from him. Her head was still buzzing and a mornings walk would maybe help. Well, not exactly.

As she walked through the first, a rustling of the bushed sounded. She was wondering if Alderheart had again followed her and was about to go on a rant, but then another cat appeared.

"Greetings, Needletail." Fallen Leaves said.

"Fallen leaves!" she gasped. "What are you doing here?"

"I've come to guide you." he said. "Times are changing and the clans are changing. You must not go back to the Shadows. Thunder needs the lighting which a needle will bring. Only though, on the back of alders."

Stop with the riddles!

Suddenly, he vanished into thin air. What did he mean? She had to join ThunderClan and she had no idea why!

Needle will bring lighting on the back of alders. What does that even mean?
