Chapter 33 : Together Forever

For the next couple of months, things went back to normal for Andrea and jay well almost normal. Jay learned to take his hands off the reigns and he ended up letting Andrea take care of the entire wedding planning and the wedding was now just a few days away. Andrea had gotten in from shopping with Paula and her mother but strangely it wasn't for a dress but was for last-minute decorations, the rest would be handled by the family which was traditional. Andrea's mother was in charge of catering and Raul was in charge of turning the football field at Andrea's old school into a beautiful wedding hall. The reason Andrea chose the middle school football field was that she wanted to reclaim her life at the very place where she thought she was going to lose it.

Now Andrea was going to reclaim it all and finally move on with her life with happiness and acceptance. Despite Paula pushing for it; neither Andrea nor Jay wanted a bachelor party...they had celebrated enough and were just happy with getting drunk together at home playing Uno. For the next few days, neither Andrea nor Jay got much alone time because they had to deal with Andrea's family and get which was all who had come since jay never met his mother or father's family and he never wished to. After introducing Jay to the last of the family and sitting through boring conversations during dinner, they finally got a chance to slip off to their bedroom for the evening; their wedding was now tomorrow.

As they lay together next to each other Andrea couldn't help but look into jays eyes and blush. She smiled and said, "I can't believe I'm marrying you...feels like we met just yesterday, yet it feels like we've been on a lifetime of adventures ". Jay smiles and says "I know my love" before he sighed. Andrea cupped his cheek and said" what's wrong and he said "I wish I had met a part of my biological relatives who cares about me but sadly they didn't want anything to do with a dysfunctional family". Andrea pulled him into a deep passionate kiss before saying "we are your family now". Jay smiled and said "I love you so much my darling wife and Andrea smiled and pulled him into a kiss before saying" I love you more, my amazing husband". Jay smiled and said, "at least some of my work friends will be there tomorrow". After watching television for a bit, Andrea drifted off first and Jay couldn't help but stare in disbelief that he gets to marry this amazing, beautiful woman tomorrow Afternoon before he finally fell asleep as well.

The next morning, everything went like clockwork but at a faster speed, Andrea was already gone when he woke up so he got up, got dressed, and headed downstairs. Raul was downstairs with Joanna and had just brought jays suit he had made since Andrea couldn't make it like she did with her dress since it's a tradition that the groom nor the bride can see each other until the ceremony. After eating, jay headed off with Raúl and Joanna to the school's gym, which was going to be used for the reception and dining, but thanks to Raúl's work, it no longer looked like a gym, but rather an elegant dining room.

Raul had got with some workers from the family company and built a fully furnished dining room set, in the gym as if this was all a movie. The walls and ceilings looked flimsy on the outside, but the inside was anything but flimsy. The hall was beautiful with red carpeting, the traditional white tables, with ornamental Victorian era chairs as well as chandeliers and the walls were white but decorated with large pictures of Andrea and jay on their various adventures not including saving the world as no one else could ever know their secret. After inspecting the dining room, he took Jay through another doorway, lined with curtains which jay guessed was to close the gap between the dining room and wherever they were headed.

Jay followed Raúl down the hall until they reached a door and he opened it revealing a room with a couch, a mini fridge, and a bathroom inside. Raul smiled and said," the ceremony starts at noon, be dressed by then and I will be back to get you after me and my wife get dressed up and make sure everything is running smoothly so until then, relax". A few minutes after Raúl had left, Jay started sweating and freaking out which prevented him from getting dressed immediately. Jay was in shock that he was literally marrying the woman of his dreams...it felt unreal to him and he was questioning if he was actually good enough to be marrying such an angel like Andrea.

After getting dressed, he looked at himself in the mirror which gave him a little bit of confidence. His suit was gorgeous with a galaxy blue dress shirt, a black tie with a white blazer, and dress pants. Just as he sat back down, he heard a knock at the door and he said "come on in" before the door opened, revealing the person as Andrea's mother. She stepped in and said "hey how are you holding up?" and after looking jay over she frowned and said, "oh I see...you must be terrified and probably doubting yourself right now". Jay looked at her and said "has Andrea been reading my mind again?" and she giggled and said, "no, I've been married remember; I know exactly how it feels but believe me, you're gonna be just fine Jay, but you have to fight those feelings of negativity and let yourself be free...tell yourself that after today you won't allow your mother or your past to take anything else away from you".

Jay sighed and said"I'm scared to " and Julie said that's okay but just know that when you take that leap into the unknown you won't be alone, you have a wife and a family that will support you, but you've got to jump and we will catch you".Jay smiled and said"I will do it for me and hers future" and Julie smiled and said, "good now look alive, all eyes will be on you so get happy".
