The new guys

A/N: I have a Nick Clark fanfic that will be coming out later but I decided to make a fanfic of another character, near and dear to me. It actually only took me around a day to write this chapter. Enjoy and think about voting on this!

Background Info: You are Chris' sister and Travis' daughter. You decided to go after your dad when he went after Chris. You are also really close to Nick, being basically best friends with him. Might do a Oneshot of stuff that happens later (still James x Reader) on when Y/N with the Clark's and Nick reunite, James will be with them btw.

It had been a while of Chris, Travis, and I walking on the road when we saw a building with a car. As soon as Travis saw it he said "Let's see about a ride" and he continued to walk towards the car.

As we reached the car, Travis broke one of the windows and unlocked it. Out of the corner of my eye I saw what looked like a little bar. "Hey Chris, look, we might be able to get supplies from there" I said as I pointed it out to him. Chris stated to his dad "I'm gonna go check that bar out" and I chimed in with "Me too". Of course Travis said no but Chris already had a reason set up so he reasoned with "but we need supplies and I can protect Y/N but we'll come back if we see anything" and Travis finally let us go.

Chris and I slowly crept towards the little bar. On the counter, there was a can of beans and some water, which Chris quickly grabbed. Not even five seconds later, a few walkers came in through the back door. Watching as one went for Chris, I couldn't do anything but stare. Chris quickly stabbed it.

Then this random guy came out of the door beside Chris, leading to the back room, he had short brown hair, he looked fairly young too, maybe in his mid 20s. A walker snuck up on the guy who appeared but luckily for him Chris quickly took action and killed it. After the third one entered, Chris just ran straight out, leaving me behind, frozen. As Chris was leaving, I saw two more people come out of the back, one with short very dirty blond hair, probably mid 20s too. The third guy, he was breathtaking, dark brown hair pulled back into a short low ponytail, a bit younger than the other two.

I stood there, looking back and forth between the three guys and the door. A minute later I heard the screeching of tires, signaling that Travis and Chris had left without me. The second guy that showed up killed the walker as the first person went past me outside. He just stood there and watched as they entered the main road.

He came back inside and looked at me "What are we going to do with you though?" he said. The second guy walked over and nudged him. "Oh yeah, I'm Brandon, the guy who nudged me is Derek, and the other guy is Baby James" He said, introducing them "And you are?". "Oh, I'm Y/N!" I said, introducing myself.

I looked up and saw James staring at me, giving me time to study his face. His eyes were dark brown, dirt was splotching his face, he had a thin pencil mustache (actually a type of mustache lmao), and there were semi-dark eye bags under his eyes. He looked away breaking his gaze.

In the following two hours we just hung out relaxing, I really got to know James more than any of the three. He was actually really nice, he was as amazing on the inside as the outside. I thought he was gonna be very shy with me, but after some talking, I feel like I've known him forever, he's so sweet. When we finished up, we headed out. We, me and the three boys, started heading out towards their truck. "Alright, so, we find your brother or whatever and return you to him and your dad, and maybe group together" Brandon said, making a small plan for us. When we got in the truck, Derek and Brandon got up front, Brandon was driving, and James and I got in the back.

Chapter two will probably be out later this week but school might delay it! Published on September 4th, 2022.
