Today was a special day. Today was the day when I remember why I joined Amaze-All in the first place. I first thought it was because of the money Mr. Bezzle generously supplies me. Then I believed it was the thought of being a brand ambassador that drove me to make that decision. But today, today I was finally able to realize just why I passed up the opportunity to talk with my friends and be able to see my child every day. The best part was, that it started out as a normal day...
Mr. Bezzle was doing what he usually does, asking me to do some boring busy work that he could easily do himself. This time, he asked me to look through the applications for our recent Elite Four exchange program. There were over 5,000 applicants, and so far, none of them stood out to me. But then, I saw him! Applicant #294, Raihan Cole Laburn from the Galar region. His application was very short, but I was taken aback by his charming smile and stunning biceps. I'm blushing just thinking about it.

I was so desperate to see him in person that I asked Mr. Bezzle if I could "visit Galar to learn more about it". I felt so nervous lying to the big man himself. My head felt like Tso-lo Falls with how much nervous sweat was running down it. Mr. Bezzle noticed my panic and didn't want to see me anymore, so he half-heartedly said yes. Knowing him, I kind of thought he wanted to fire me, but, I was too excited to care all that much. When I got there, I landed in a weird place called "Wyndon", which looks eerily like Port Alki, the city that my parents raised me in ever since we moved from Adesh. I didn't really know my way around Galar, but thankfully, Raihan's application came with his phone number... for some reason... I called him asking where everything was, and after he helped me navigate the busy streets of Wyndon, something... interesting happened. He asked me out on a date.
I, of course, accepted because it felt like my dreams were finally coming true. I was close to erupting in happiness and love and affection! Seeing a man like him offer to go on a date with a gal like me felt like a fever dream. He offered to take me for dinner at a restaurant named "The Captain's Table", and, even though I'm not the biggest fan of seafood, I would do anything to be able to talk to Raihan in person! If I'm being honest, this was one of the best restaurants I went to, although, I'm not sure if that's because of the food or being there with Raihan. I'm pretty sure it's the latter!

The date was going surprisingly well. I didn't say anything stupid or awkward or accidentally reveal something embarrassing about myself, as I've done on literally every other date I've had. Everything was fine and dandy until he grabbed a napkin and wrote something on it. My curious self was worried about what he could possibly be writing on there... Was it bad news? Was it a message to another woman? I needed to know, no matter how much it was going to hurt me... So I glanced over, and it looked like an address of some sort... He was going to tell me where he lived! It was all too perfect, and I couldn't take it. So I cried tears of joy, right there in the middle of the restaurant. I could hear the horns of the waiter's Indeedee vibrating with the same happiness and embarrassment as I felt at that moment... I was expecting Raihan to be like everyone else in that restaurant and storm out on me, but... he stayed... He actually patted my head and was genuinely supportive. I was confused since he's way too great for someone like me. I eventually calmed down and thanked him so much before hugging him as hard as I possibly could. I tried mustering up the courage to kiss him on the cheek, but I just couldn't. I apologized profusely, grabbed the napkin with his address, and ran out of the restaurant as fast as I could. I booked a hotel room and went to bed, hoping that tomorrow would bring a better date and just being glad that I was allowed to go on a date with Raihan! I sadly have to stop writing about it for now as I'm getting a nose bleed just thinking about his smoldering good looks.
