Missed scene from 4x02, because I wanted to see more Captain Swan.

"You okay?"

Killian held her tightly, and felt relieved, although she was still really cold. Emma nodded, and moved her hand to his hair. Immediately, her legs failed her, so she almost fell down, but Killian lifted her and took her to the car. He carefully placed Emma to the back seat, and slid next to her.

She snuggled closer to him, resting one hand on his chest, and closed her eyes.

"Hey, Emma, stay awake." He whispered, and wrapped his good arm around her shoulders.

"I'm trying, but I'm still freezing." She answered, and her voice was incredibly weak. "You are so warm."

"Pirate coats have their adventages. Besides, it makes me more dashing, don't you think?" He smirked at her, and as always, she just rolled her eyes.

"I'm not gonna answer that."

He was still next to her, with his right arm wrapped around her shoulders, drawing circles with his thumb to calm her down. They hadn't said a word for a while. David was talking Henry about something, Mary Margaret was trying to lull baby Neal, and Elsa was reading a book to get some information about her missing sister.

"Hey, are you alright?" Killian asked when he saw Emma's eyes opening. She blinked a few, then looked at him surprisedly.

"Yeah, better. Could you help me move to the couch?" Her skin started to turn back into its natural color, but she was still shivering.

"Sure, love." He helped her get up, and stopped her from collapsing.

"Thanks."

For a moment, they stayed quiet. Everybody around them started to get ready to bed, but Emma didn't seem to notice that.

"You gave me a heart attack today, you know." He sat next to her, but didn't as close as before, because he knew that the real, strong and independent Emma wouldn't let that just yet.

"Sorry. I scared myself too. For a moment, I really thought I was going to die." She let out a small laugh.

"Death is not an option for you, Swan, okay?" He responded softly, intertwining their fingers. She looked down, but didn't move her hand.

"Neither for you." She said seriously.

"Good thing that I'm a survivor then." He joked, but it wasn't really funny, especially after he almost died. Several times.

"Good thing you have me to save your ass." She murmured to herself, and rested her head on his shoulder.

"I thought you wanted me to be patient."

"I still do." She looked up at him smiling, and snuggled closer to his warm body.

She knew what she was doing, but she didn't care. She wanted to warm up, and he was like a radiator. Of course, that wasn't the only reason she didn't let him go, but she hadn't admitted that to herself yet.

She also knew that the following day she was going to pull away from him again. She was going to return to her stronger-self with the walls, trying not to get vulnerable.

"You are the most confusing woman I've ever met." It wasn't an annoyed sentence, he didn't mean to hurt her.

"Good." She gave him a satisfied smile, and closed her eyes. After a while, he knew she had fallen asleep.

Killian thought it was time to leave, so he slowly started to move, careful not to wake her. He helped her lie down on the coach, placing a pillow under her head and arranging the blankets.

David saw that he was leaving, so he walked over to him. "Thank you for taking care of her."

"Anytime." Killian answered, glancing back to Emma once again, and then he left the loft with a small smile on his face.

He knew that Emma would keep her distance the next day again. But all that mattered after that night, that she was alive, and he had time get through her walls.
