"SAPNAP! STOP! I SWEAR YOU'RE GONNA GET IT- COME BACK HERE!" As you ran around your little multiplayer world you had made with your friends, Sapnap seemingly hot on your tail, laughing like a complete maniac, you didn't take notice at all of a small danger sign at the bottom of your screen. You were too wrapped up in the chase, and so was he. It only when he seemed like he was catching up to you that you looked at your hunger bar and realized that you were low on hunger that you also noticed the warning.
"Hey Sap- is there a warning on your screen?" you ask and it brought his attention to it. Your in game character turned to look at his who only nodded in response, reading what it had to say. You thought to do the same, only reading it out loud. "Attention... game's gonna crash and you have- WHAT!?" You suddenly shout, not believing a word of this warning.
"Cool your jets, Y/N... It's probably just a dumb pop-up." Sap said with a tone of voice that calmed you, putting a smile on your face. However, when you exited out of it, it only came back bigger and started to make a ringing noise. You once again hit the little orange colored x in the corner of the pop up, only for it to come back again, but this time with multiple pop ups, and the sound was getting louder.
"Hey Y/N, I think I'm going to reboot my computer- it's acting up... I actually think I need some water too... I'm starting to get a headache-" And just like that, you hear a crash on his end before you, too, black out.

You wake up a minute later and shield your eyes from the blinding light. You squint as your vision focuses and you look around. As you realize what happened, you look around to see many different players all looking around themselves, trying to figure things out.Just then a loud boom roars overhead, startling you and those around you. "ATTENTION! THERE HAS BEEN A MASSIVE GLITCH IN OUR SYSTEMS! PLEASE REMAIN CALM AS WE LOOK FOR A WAY OUT OF THIS! IN THE MEAN TIME YOU MAY SOCIALIZE WITH THOSE AROUND YOU!" A voice calls out after the loud crash you had heard from seemingly the sky. You look around for any familiar faces, but to your disappointment, there are none.
You look down and notice your health and hunger before you have to double check your heart s. You're in hardcore mode. What the hell? What does that mean? You notice players around you are already punching at trees, a few of them shaking their hands due to the pain of the rough bark against their skin.
You decide to just explore this new world, walking to a nearby waterfall. The water looks so surreal, so beautiful, yet so life-like. It was like it was taken from the world you know and love instead of just copy-pasted from the Minecraft world.
You then tap the air with the inventory in mind, but nothing happens. It was worth a shot... I guess I have to craft things manually. How to go about that though...?
You make your way over to a nearby tree and start punching at it, thankful that your skin comes with gloves to protect your hands. "U-um excuse me? C-could you show me how to make planks?" You look over towards the squeaky voice to see a small child, probably no older than 12, handing you a log. She had fear in her eyes but also curiosity, and those factors moved you. You crouched down to her level, arms falling to ground level as you nod with a bright smile. This seems to make her cheer up as excitement replaces the fear and she hands you the single log.
You chuckle at her. You have always been good with kids, you know just how tough they can be, and you also know just how quickly they can get their feelings hurt. "Well, I haven't figured it out myself, but we can figure it out together! Let's see, what if I strip the bark? You do that side, I'll do this one." And just like that, you get to work, tearing bit by bit of the bark off of the wood, eventually turning it into the planks you had in mind. With a proud smile, you give the girl a high five before she runs off with the plank.
There has to be a menu to access my inventory or something... I just need to find it. Frustration threatens to overtake you but you shake it off, knowing now isn't the time to get stressed out as it will only worsen the current already stressful enough situation.
Just then another boom roars and everyone looks towards the sky. "WE WERE UNSUCCESSFUL IN FINDING AN EASY WAY OUT! IF YOU HAVEN'T TAKEN THE TIME TO LOOK AT YOUR HEALTH, DO THAT NOW! YOU ARE IN HARDCORE MODE! THIS MEANS IF YOU DIE IN THIS WORLD, YOU DIE IN REAL LIFE TOO, SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL! YOU CAN ACCESS YOUR INVENTORY AND CRAFTING BY TAPPING THE TINY THREE DOTS BESIDE YOUR HOTBAR! LAST THING: EVERYTHING HERE IS 100× HARDER MEANING INSTEAD OF 12 ENDER EYES TO COMPLETE THE PORTAL, YOU WILL NEED 1200! BE CAREFUL AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL!" And just like that, your heart sank. 1200!?!? And just HOW THE HELL were you supposed to get that!?
"-/N!? Y/N!? WHERE ARE YOU!?" You hear in the distance and look in the direction of the voice to see a taller man with raven hair and a white bandanna, immediately recognizing him as your best friend Sapnap. "Y/N!?" There's fear in his voice as it cracks and you run towards him. He spots you in a matter of seconds, embracing you tightly whenever you finally reunite. "Holy shit Y/N I was looking all over for you! I was so worried!"
You hug him back just as tightly, your heart racing as you look at him. It was his real face, but with raven hair instead of the brownish color. You're too stunned to speak, still trying to process not only seeing Sapnap in person for the first time but the new information about how to beat the game.
"Y/N! I didn't expect to see you here! And Sapnap! Hi guys!" A higher pitched British voice called out and you let go of Sapnap to see a boy on the shorter side with curly blonde hair and a yellow and black striped shirt with overalls on which had a bee logo on the front. You noticed his shoes looked like bees, too.
"Tubbo, you were sucked into this mess too?" You ask, worried for your friend. You were friends with almost everyone on the DreamSMP as Sapnap had introduced you to many of them.
"Yeah, but it's alright! We'll beat this awful game! Won't we Sap?" You looked over at your crush who gave a confident smirk and a big nod.
"For sure, Tubbo! We may have been sucked in, but we are not staying here! We will fight! We will fucking PREVAIL! WE WILL BEAT THE END! WE WILL FREE EVERYONE! ARE YOU BOTH WITH ME!?" Sapnap shouted, getting a little too worked up, but you loved that about him.
"HELL YEAH!" You and Tubbo shouted in sync.
This was it. You had friends by your side... There was no way anyone could stop you now. There way no way anything could stop you now. Just as those thoughts crossed your mind, you noticed the sun setting and you haven't even collected the first block.
