The Fight

*Emily's P.O.V*

To start off my name is Emily. Im a regular eighteen year old, except for one reason. I live with my abusive dad that blames every little mistake on me, like last night.  I left the bread open and I woke up to a slap across the face. I was tired of this. For, four years it's been like this. I was already cutting. I didn't need this. So, I finally got the courage to talk back, big mistake."Hey, you have no right to hit me like that!" He turned around.

" What did you just say to me!" he shouted.

"I said you have no right to hit me like that!" I was proud of myself , until it got serious. He ran downstairs. I thought it was over, that easy. But, then I heard footsteps, stomping louder and louder. I hid in my closet. Not the best place to hide , but when your room is super small you gotta take chances. He slammed the door open and shouted," You can't hide forever you know!" I heard crashing and glass breaking.I started to cry. I hoped to God that he didn't break my mother's vase. It was so special to me.She gave it to me before she died. I started crying louder and instantly stopped myself, because I had forgotten about my dad. It was all quiet. So I stood up and walked out. I froze. I couldn't move or talk. I stood there. My dad was right there, in front of my eyes. He held a metal pan. My instinct was to run. My brain said GO, GO! While my body stood there. I was in shock. He took a big breath and WHACK! He hit me in the head and I fell into a deep, dark sleep.
