STARDUST

A/N. I don't know why i wrote this.. I absolutely don't know... This is the longest I've ever written as a one shot!

The fight with legatus took a toll on everyone's lives, some almost lost their lovers, others wept for the dead and the living wept for the loss of others.

Everyone was safely retrieved from the battle, with small wounds and few scratches here and there, except Fulgur Ovid who was Legatus himself.

At some point Legatus took control of the Archivist body, with new surroundings and no memories from before that point, they were all treated as a threat, even his own lover Uki Violeta was unrecognized.

It took all of them to defeat Legatus and even though they won, the price for winning is the precious life of their friend. Fulgur fell into a sleep like death, no medical technology could explain what had happened or how he could recover.

"Have you found a way?" Uki asks tiredly, his eyes full of deep dark circles entailing the lack of sleep, his body thin and dry, something that Uki used to care about. Shu glanced at him from the corner of his eyes as he sat there blankly staring at the ground.

Shu knows not to mention anything about changing minds or even trying to stop Uki. The face Uki made that day when they found Fulgur was horrifying that Shu trembles at the memory of it.

"I'm sorry, Uki. I tried to see past it but the path was blocked. The only hint I could find is regarding the stars" Shu said as he sighed tiredly as he lowered his hands, stopping his powers from working the strings of fate.

"What did the stars say?" Uki asks with a raised brow as he stands up going near Shu.

"Child of Stars. seek the light and grace the stars of your purple delight" Shu stated as he stared mindlessly as if he was seeing something that is not seen by the naked eyes.

Uki pondered for a second before nodding and tapping Shu on the shoulder. Shu looks at him worried. knowing that Uki is going through something that he shouldn't have to go through.

"Thanks, Shu. I'll meet the stars, tell everyone not to enter the room" Uki said as Shu nodded before Uki left, leaving him staring at his retreating back.

'You didn't tell him everything...' A voice said, heard by only Shu himself.

"What can I do? Even i don't understand what it means, it's inauspicious" Shu mumbles as he sighs dejectedly, turning back and returning to looking for other answers.

Opening the door to his room, Uki is greeted by floating purple jellyfishes with eggs on their head, surrounding the man laying in the middle of the bed who had white sheeps fluttering around him. Except for the black one who seems to look like it doesn't care but never left the man's side the moment he was laid there.

Walking towards the center, Uki sits beside the man and slowly raises his hand to caress his lover's sleeping face. Tears started to pool in his eyes as he stared at Fulgur, Uki had poured his power in order to protect the body, slowing down the time until the fateful day came.
