THIRTY-ONE

JIMIN WAS CALLED to the Commander's office, who may isn't the head of the SWAT department but of the most important Unit of it.

After the shooting was over, they checked the rest of the storage hall, freeing all of the young women who were held there. More Officers came to the place to secure the hall, finding drugs and weapons, as well as arresting the four men.

Jimin drove back to the department with his team, where he was called to Commander Kim's office right after.

„Good Job, Officer Park." The Commander says with a soft expression on his face. He wasn't smiling like usual, but also wasn't that serious.

„Thank you, Commander." Jimin responds formally while bowing slightly.

„I heard what you did, and wanted to thank you for saving one of our best Sergeants." The elder continues, owning a short nod from the younger male. Jimin doesn't know why he's being called to his office immediately because all he did was his job. Nothing more or less. It was an instant reaction, like an instinct, to protect one of the SWAT officers. He would do it for any other person of this department.

It just happened to be Min Yoongi.

„I only did my job, Commander." Jimin responds, his hands behind his back as he looks straight into the dominant face of the Commander.

„It's good to have you for the SWAT. The Strayers are lucky to have you." Namjoon adds in the end, before dismissing Jimin, who felt a pain in his chest the same moment those words left the elder's lips.

As the younger was about to leave the room, Namjoon stopped him, „And I wanted to ask you for a favor.. could you please take Sergeant Min home? He was so stubborn and returned to the department instead of heading home. He's still slightly taken aback by- your strength I guess."

Jimin turns around, fighting his inner ego and rebel, so instead of arguing about it with the Commander like he would used to in the past, he just nods in response.

Just when Jimin turns back to finally leave, a question comes to his mind that has been bothering him since he saw Yoongi at the hall.

„Why was Sergeant Min at the Storage hall anyways? More over why was no one else from Bulletproof there?" Jimin asks slightly hesitant, because it was still confusing to him why the elder was there on his own. Well with other officers Jimin doesn't know.

Namjoon shrugs, pressing his lips to a line before answering „When he heard that you called for back up, he immediately joined the Unit we actually sent for back up."

The younger frowns but answers with a short ‚Okay' before turning back and leaving the room for good.

It's confusing, why would the elder do that? Didn't he have anything else to do? Why would he join another Unit just because Jimin called for backup?
