Chapter 1 : Finding Me
I remember when i was a child, my parents and I were a very close happy family. I new that they loved me and I wished that we could have stayed together. Im still confused at why they had to leave me inorder for me to be safe but i wonder if they are safe and if i will ever see them again. When i was 10 they left me here at this orphanage and they told me ,"that there is more to this world then people know and that there are creatures who walk this world unseen." Also, they said," They will come looking for us to find you and we will not let them have you so we must carry on without you my dear but remember we will always love you and promise us Claire, that you will never go to the old wishing well were you'd once love to play." I promised and they both kissed my cheek before they left ME.
I was now 18 years old and was finally allowed to leave the orphanage to be free to roam the world. I knew what would be my first journey and it was to the old wishing well. I know i had promised but i was young and i needed to know what was after me and my parents, why it involved this well and i needed to find who i really was.
When i arrived at Ferryland it looked much different than i had remembered it. All the old buildings at been tore down, a lot more people now lived here but it was still covered with forests everywhere. I went to my aunts house and she looked at me in pure shock.
"Claire, what are you doing here? you must go, you cant be here!!"
" I missed you and why cant i be here. Im looking for my parents. I have many questions for them!" I was frightened at her reaction and confused at the same time.
"Im sorry but your parents died. Maybe i should explain things to you." her eyes started to fill with tears and mine did too. I was never going to beable to listen to my mothers sweet voice or see my dad smiling. My aunt Kleg let me in and i sat at the kitchen table while she got out some kind of book. The book looked ancient and had the strangest symbols all around it.
"This belonged to your parents and i know they'd rather me not tell you but i feel that your life is in danger and u must know whats after you. In this book is creatures that your parents discovered and it will help you to figure out which people who walk amoungst us are demons, vampires and werewovles."
"Wait what !!!! No way these things arent real, there just made up legends and what would they want with me." i couldnt believe that things like this existed and were taking the form of humans.
"I know this is a lot to take in but you havent much time and you must leave here as soon as possible before they catch your scent." She was now handing me the book and practically shoving me out the door.
"But you never told me why they are after me?"
"I cant tell you because i was never told why,only you parents know why." With that i was out of her house and running for the airport. I tripped and someone helped me up by pulling up on my arms. It was a man who looked about my age with dark brown hair, muscular body and the weirdest shade of golden eyes i had ever seen. "My name is Blaire and who might you be my dear." It took me second to stop dazing at his beauty to anwser.
" Well isnt that funny our names rhyme, Im Claire and i was just leaving town so i guess instead of a hello i will say goodbye" when i was about to ran off he grabbed my arm and swung me around.
"Oh no, your not going anywhere but with me my dear." He spoke very calmly and i started to scream but he covered my mouth so i kicked and punched him but it had no effect." You know, if you just behave you'd make this a lot easier on me." He looked straight into my eyes and i couldnt help but be taken over by his beauty.
" Well im sorry that im not used to random men pulling me places and telling me i cant go home." I had a nasty tone and i could tell he didnt like that.
