Breakfast

Arthur's pov
After getting that awkward situation over and the satisfaction of knowing that Merlin is now my boyfriend I slowly say for Merlin to eat the breakfast Gwen brought me as he looked like he needed a good amount of food I also told him to go back to his and giaus chambers as I could always get some more and eat with my father which I actually hadn't done in a while.

After a quick goodbye kiss I slowly go down to the dining hall to be greated by my father and Morgana. I bid them good morning taking a seat as one of the servants go to fetch me some breakfast.
"So what an honour it is to dine with you again my young son" uther teases, earning a small giggle from Morgana.
"Well I just thought it would be nice to dine with you two again" Arthur replies innocently
"I thought it would be to ask if you could courtier who ever the young maiden that was in your chambers last night" uther asks so casually. both Morgana and Arthur choke on their food. Morgana just standing up and leaving the room obviously trying so hard not to laugh.
"Well at least tell me her name" uther says obviously actually interested.
"Well I don't think you will actually want to know who he is, I mean you will probably want me to end it with the young boy and marry some royal lady with blond hair and big dresses" he replied. uther was shocked his son just admitted to being in love with, his words exactly, a young boy.
"A BOY!" Uther unknowingly yelled but was actually a little confused. Arthur then realised what he said and was unsure of what to do.
"Well.....ummm..."
"You do realise that that is illegal"
"Yeah and I think that is stupid, love is love what does it matter of their gender"
"I don't have anything against it personally but we both know if this gets out the kingdom will be ruined and we cannot have a weakness of this in you"
"Well I don't care I love Merlin and I would rather die the most painful death than ever see single hair on his head be harmed"
"Very well but if this kingdom falls it is on you my boy, all on you"
"So you are ok with it"
"Yes but if you want to be respected then you can tell this to of no one else"
"Of course father"
"But once you are king you can do as you will"
The conversation was ended with a moment of silence until uther told him to:
"Well go tell this Merlin of the good news and I expect him at dinner tonight"
"Very well father" and Arthur practically ran all the way to guias chambers to tell Merlin of his fathers approval.
