Jacob and his pack/ family were at a beach with Edward and his family, Jacob recently had gotten pregnant with Edwards child, Bella was locked up in some mental phycward, Everyone was laying/ sitting down on a big matt on the sand and Jacob was laying on edwards shoulder.
"Heyyo y'all see that rad island over there?!" Emmett suddenly said pointing at a little island in a distance in the ocean.
"Yeah bro we should go check it out" said Paul
Everyone agreed but Edward and Jacob stayed, Jacob said that he was to tired to swim because of the baby, he was about a month pregnant now. Everyone else swam to the island in ten minutes, laughing and talking.
Jacob was glad that he didn't have to go, not only for the baby, the baby actually didnt really bother him right now at all, he just..he never really was the best at swimming and the island was a bit far so he didn't want to embarrass himself in dont of everyone saying he dosent know how to swim. He blocked out his thoughts so Edward didn't know.
The two boys laid in silence together, Edward kissed Jacobs shoulder and Jacob smiled and closed his eyes enjoying his boyfriends presence. About five minutes later edward heard a ding from his phone, he went and checked and asked Jacob, "you wanna go to that island now?"
"um y-yeah sure" Jacob blocked out his mind once more and honestly had no idea what he was going to do, he tried to convince himself that it wasn't that much but he took one look at that island and cringed, the water looked very deep and he had no clue what to do.
Edward put his phone back and Jacob got up nervously, They went to the shore and talked about a few stuff, Edward tried to keep the conversation going but Jacob was oddly quiet.
After the water got a bit deep and went to Jacobs shoulders he decided to move closer to Edward to hold onto him, shaking. "You okay hunny?" Edward asked, Jacob gulped "y-yeah i'm fine.." "U sure??" the water was now up to Jacobs shoulder and he was holding onto Edward worriedly. "mhm.." Jacob gulped again and his breathing was a heavy his eyes were wide and unfocused on anything and his stomach felt queasy. Edward turned to face him with a concerned look on his face and carried him in his arms, "what is it love?" He continued hovering over the water, vampires can fly so it wasn't really a problem for him, besides even if they couldn't he still could swim. Jacob held on to Edward tighter, His face buried in his neck, Jacob swallowed hard and stuttered, not knowing what to do he hyperventilated and started breathing more fast, Edward held him tighter, concerned for him. Edward held out his knee for Jacob to sit on and he carried him on his leg, he kissed his lovers forehead and pulled him into his embrace even tighter and rubbed his back, he didn't really know what was going on but he still wanted to help his lover. Jacob stuttered nervously, "well- I- I can't really swim.." Edward stopped for a second his eyes were wide and he was kinda shocked and bit back a smile, Jacob looked back up at him and Edward couldn't help but laugh. "Shut up! It's not funny and if you tell a soul i'll kill you." Jacob spoke frustrated, and elbowed edwards hip. Edward was amused and laughed again, "don't worry darling, i won't" he spoke with a smile. Jacob rolled his eyes with a annyoing scoff and buried his face back into Edwards neck embarrassed and Edward kissed the top of his head and caressed his cheek and Jacob almost instantly felt calm.
After about 30 seconds Jacob looked down and his stomach dropped at the sight of how deep in the water they were, he gulped and tighted his grip around Edward, his arms wrapped around the top of his back, almost near his neck and tucked his head back into his neck. Edward sensed this, reading his mind and just noticing he was anxious. He pulled him in closer, "it's okay baby i got you, your okay" "don't drop me" jacob mummed quietly in his neck embarrassed knowing edward would be able to hear it. "i won't honey, it's okay" he said with a quick peck on the lips. "we there yet?" he mumbled quietly, "almost there sweetie." he said softly.
Jacob felt very relaxed in Edwards neck and how Edward could hold him with such ease, of course it made him feel a bit vulnerable and embarrassed like a big baby but he secretly liked it, he liked when Edward dominated him and took care of him, made him feel special and loved. He also loved whenever Edward would call him those sweet names. Edward was aware of this of course with his mind reading ability, and he thought it was adorable, how he acted tough and bold in front of everyone but really he was just a big baby, he would even tease him for it sometimes.
Jacob debated whether he should look how deep they are because last time it defiantly didn't go so well but he decided to do it anyways, which didn't go too well either.
Jacob could barely see the bottom of the ocean, he could see his legs hovering and if Edward let go he would've fell straight in, and drown. He panicked. He just wanted to go back home, he didn't want to be here anymore screw the island he wanted to go home. He wanted to leave. He was trembling. What if he fell in and drowned? And how were they supposed to go back without Edward carrying him again!? Everyone was gonna see! The smaller boy panicked, hoping something would just come up causing everyone to have to go back home, wishing he could leave.
Edward sensed his lovers anxiety, and stroked his head and whispered in his ear, "love, its okay, you'll be fine I promise. Well find a way to get back, just relax." Jacob buried his head further into Edwards neck, wanting more of his touch, finding it comforting. Edward moved his delicate fingers to his neck and down to his shoulder and lightly caressed it as he planted another kiss on Jacobs forehead.
