Prologue
Terra, a world so beautiful and lively, filled with creatures big and small from Kobolds to Giants and everything in between. A world so vast and encompassing from the highest peaks that kiss the heavens, to the crushing depths of the abyss and vast deserts and lush valleys. But, our story takes place in the western portion of Terra, a continent with rough and rugged mountains to lush valleys and flowing rivers, the continent of Loria.
Loria is ruled by six powers each having a stake in the continent and its inhabitants. To the north lies the Kingdom of Ouros the Largest of the powers and it is ruled by the Demon King, Aramias, a king of some would say demonic origin while others would say celestial but, no one knows for sure. Ouros is home to many non-human creatures such as Minotaurs, Goblins, Orcs, Ogres and Faunas but many would call them "Monsters". To the West is the Baruthian Empire, ruled over by Emperor Janick Von Zerax Baruth IV and home to the largest naval fleet on the western coast of Loria. To the south of the Baruthian Empire sits the Democracy of Thane, ruled over by a council of 50 elected officials that decide the actions of the nation. Thane is also home to the largest magic academy in all of Loria making it the premier magical state in all of Loria. To the East resides the Dwendalian Theocracy, ruled over by a council of 5 Cardinal Bishops. The Dwendalian Theocracy had or still has a deep rivalry with many of their neighbors, as they were the only ones against the formation of the kingdom of Ouros and believe that one day the Demon King and his forces will conquer all of Loria. The Dwendalian Theocracy holds a deep resentment towards non-human they consider "Monsters" as they believe that they will succumb to their evil nature [Such as the Kingdom of Ouros]. To the south of the Dwendalian Theocracy resides the Kingdom of Vecta, Ruled over by King Augustus Vecta VI. The Kingdom of Vecta is home to the largest naval fleet in the west and holds the largest military force in all of Loria. Finally to the south is Elfheim, home of the Elves, ruled over by Queen Titania and King Oberon. Out of the 6 powers of Loria, Elfheim holds the prestigious title of "Oldest Nation" in all of Loria. Elfheim is home to the thickest and most dense forests and the tallest mountain in all of the continent, Mount Infinity; Which in of itself is ruled by Bahamut, the Platinum Dragon and his brood who staunchly defend the Mountain from invaders.
But, that's enough of that, our story takes places in a small town bordering the Dwendalian Theocracy, Kingdoms of Vecta, Ouros and ElfHeim, a little cross roads town with no affiliation or loyalty to either of the bordering powers, the town of Jack Knife.
