"Alright Class, today we will be welcoming our new student Itami. Please treat him with the utmost respect" Said Sensei Kuwane. It was my very first day at the academy in Konoha Village. My father stressed that going to the academy was a big achievement because I get a chance to learn more than what he had already taught me. He also said that I shouldn't worry, because the Uchiha clan excels in "everything".
"Itami would you like to introduce yourself to the class? Say your name, your age and your clan please" Sensei Kuwane said.
I hated public speech, not that I wasn't good at it or anything, I just didn't understand why I needed to tell everyone why I'm here. I mean it is quite obvious. I'm here to learn and hone my skills! But might as well get it over with.
"Hello my name is Itami, I am from the Uchiha clan and I am 12 years old." I said reluctantly.
As soon as I said "Uchiha clan" almost everybody started asking questions.
"Do you know how to do fire ball Jutsu?" Asked one kid "Do you know how to awaken the sharingan?" Another asked. "What about a guy named itatchi? Do you know him?" Asked another kid.
Then a familiar voice emerged and said "Hey hey hey, give the guy some space. He just got here!" It was my best friend Totsū! Totsū and I have been friends since.... Forever. I used to take baths with him when we were babies. I am so excited that he gets to be here with me.
"Hey Totsū! I kind of forgot you were gonna be here" I said scratching my head
"It's fine, but how are you liking the academy so far?" He asked
"For the couple of minutes I've been here, it's quite annoying. If everybody is going to keep bombarding me with questions, then the next couple of years are gonna eat me alive." I said drearily
"Dont worry" Totsū said reassuringly. "You'll survive as long as you got me by your side". We both laughed. I sat down next to Totsū and waited on Sensei Kuwane to begin his lesson.
"Alright class, today we will be going over the most important Jutsu a Ninja will need, Substitution Jutsu."
"How does it work?" Asked a girl
"I cannot demonstrate it inside. But I can demonstrate it outside!" He said with a smile The class quickly left their seats and rushed out the front door with our Sensei leading them.
Sometimes I forget how beautiful Konaha is in the spring. Outside in the yard, they have a huge cherry blossom tree.

One of the biggest yet beautiful trees I have ever seen. My mother always told me that cherry blossom trees represent a new beginning. But it also reminds us about how precious life is and how quickly we can loose it. Almost like a friendly reminder of death and revival. It's very cool to think about. But that will have to wait.
" Would anybody like to punch their teacher in the stomach?" Sensei asked. That was a weird question to ask. But almost everyone raised their hand! I laughed. "You, Kureni, come up here." Kureni was a pretty girl. She had silky black hair that flowed smoothly down her back like a stone less river. Her skin radiated beams of light that would make you think that SHE was the sun. She was a beautiful girl. "Itamiii, Itamiiii, ITAMI" Totsū yelled "Quit staring."
"Pffft. I wasn't staring" I said with an embarrassed look on my face
"Yeah sure." Totsū rolled his eyes "Alright class, watch closely" sensei said. He told Kureni to punch him in his stomach, and almost immediately after, a log took his place. " woah" someone in the crowed said " how did he do that?"
"Itami would you like to demonstrate?" He asked All of the color in my skin left my body. Why would he ask me of all people to do that!? "Y-Y-Yes sir" I replied
