"Not to worry," Hongjoong said simply as he watched the fear begin to flood through Seonghwa once more, another smile twisting upon his lips. Seonghwa did not know what to make of that smile, unsure whether it was a good or bad thing. He could not really read this Captain, though he supposed that if even his crew seemed to have some difficulty with it than it only made sense that he would also have issues considering he had only known the other a short time. "I would not allow Yeosang to do such a thing, you are far to unprepared for that." Hongjoong gave a small laugh, leaning back close into Seonghwa's space, his face close to his own. Seonghwa felt himself stiffen, his eyes wide and unsure what he should do. He stared, unable to quite take his eyes off the captivating Captain. "I am not nearly that cruel, after all."
Hongjoong pulled himself from Seonghwa completely, standing now on the side of the bed. Seonghwa himself, well he felt as though he was paralyzed. It was hard to move, his fingers having gone numb in the betrayal that he felt. He knew that Yeosang was not being...nice persay, but he had liked to think that they were at least amiable. It woulds eem as though he had been lied to, either by himself or by Yeosang's fake demeanor of care, Seonghwa was not entirely sure which it was. He still felt a sort of sting to the understanding that Yeosang had been fully willing to sacrifice him to this so called carnivorous nobility after claiming that it was...bad. Seonghwa knew this was supposed to be in the nature of pirates, to play pretend and lie, in fact he had been lied to his entire life...but he was beginning to realize why Hongjoong's crew seemed to stick by him so effortlessly despite his clearly more sadistic nature.
Hongjoong did not seem to lie. From what I have managed to gather both from the man himself, and from Yeosang, that was true enough. I do really hate lying, I...well I feel as though I had been lied to far more than enough already. I literally just found out everything that I had thought was true was...a lie to suit the King, and now that the lie no longer suits him he wants to rip me and pull me back to him to further his own agenda. Knowing what I do of that, it should not hurt so much to hear of Yeosang's betrayal, his deception, but I knew that...that it was possible. it is something really that I should have expected nonetheless. I suppose that I desperately need to get used to that sort of thing, it would seem, because whilst Hongjoong seemed to have something against lying it was now obvious that the rest of his crew had no such problems. Honestly, I should have predicted that. He had not. Considering one of the first things that Seonghwa had been told regarding Hongjoong, that he refused to lie taking much more pleasure in the painful truth being presented bare towards his victims, he had been of the naive notion that none of Hongjoong's people lied. Clearly, he would need to work on his thoughts regarding that more.
"I wish for you to finally eat with the rest of the crew." Hongjoong stated simply, breaking Seonghwa from his innermost thoughts. Seonghwa blinked, clearing his thoughts and his mind to turn back towards the Captain. The man seemed even further amused by Seonghwa's lapse in concentration. It was clear that he had allowed Seonghwa the time to think things through before interrupting him once more. Seonghwa had no idea what to think about that. It was a level of consideration that he had yet to obtain from the Pirate, though...from what Seonghwa had gathered...these pirates were not...well, normal. Hongjoong did not lie, which Seonghwa could immediately ascertain was not at all normal, and then you have a motley group of people. Seonghwa had no idea what to think.
"Yes, Captain," Seonghwa stated simply. He figured that it was useless to try and argue against the Captain, and he did distinctly recall the first time he did anything similar to challenging the other. He definitely did not want to risk doing that again. He had almost whipped Yeosang, and with a swift glanced towards his hip, Seonghwa could see that he still had the whip coiled at his waist. He would not risk getting whipped because he did something stupid like arguing with him. He had no right to argue with the Captain either way. He had just barely gotten out of his bindings, and Seonghwa would really prefer not to be placed back within them.
"Oh, such a wonderful agreement." The Captain said simply. He pulled Seonghwa from the bed, leaving Seonghwa to stumbled off it, completely unprepared to be dragged from where he had been. Furthermore, he had not been standing for quite some time. He had been trapped on the bed for days now, his legs had very little strength, and he found himself collapsing before he could do anything.
The Captain moved quickly, wrapping an arm firmly around his waist, and pressing him tightly to his side. Seonghwa felt his cheeks flush with color at the movement, but otherwise did not say anything, merely allowing himself to lean on the shorter male who, despite their height difference, held him effortlessly. Seonghwa had to admit that he was slightly jealous of that. Hongjoong was just...effortless in almost everything he did. It was lowkey hot, and Seonghwa felt even more shame at finding the Captain attractive.
"Let us move quickly, hmm?" Hongjoong suggested with a laugh in his voice. "We would not want to keep the Crew waiting for too long, after all. Do not worry Little dove, I will keep you safe, from them."
What about from yourself? The thought came to Seonghwa, but he did not dare to speak it aloud. He was lucky enough that Hongjoong was caring for him as much as he was. Seonghwa may be somewhat naive, but he was not entirely stupid. He was being treated quite graciously considering the circumstances, and whilst he did not quite understand what the reasoning for it was, nor did he quite comprehend why it was that the Captain seemed to be so...considerate with him, he was not going to look such a gift in the mouth. He could be being starved, chained in some dingy underground. Seonghwa may not be all that knowledgable of how boats work but he knew of the rooms under the floorboards. He was being quite well taken care of, and he was even eating more than his...well, the family that the King had given him ever dared to.
