Chapter Five

Days passed and the wedding comes.

Vegas and Pete are standing and facing each other. In front of them is the marriage officiant. They decided to do a garden wedding. Pete always dreams to have that kind of wedding. The location of the wedding is a garden owned by a restaurant the couple usually hangout when they were secretly dating.

Despite Gunn's request to make the wedding extravagant, It's just a simple wedding with only a few attendees with Pete's grandmother and the minor and main family as well as a few bodyguards who Pete treated as his friends when he was working with the main family- Porsche, Arm and Pol as well as Chan and Big and Ken.

Gunn and Macau were present in the ceremony. While Korn, Kinn and to Pete's shock- Kim for the main family are there. Pete messaged his former boss a couple of times but Tankhun never replied back.Kinn informed Pete that Tankhun can't make it. He said his big brother is sick but Pete knows that he still can't accept his favorite bodyguard to be married to his cousin. Pete understands him for not attending his wedding but he was disappointed since he is still have hopes that he will be here in his special day and talk to him.

The motif of the wedding is white. White roses can be see around the place and both grooms are wearing white suits. All guest are required to wear white as well. It was a beautiful day. Despite the wedding being a simple event and Tankhun's absent in this special day. Pete thinks the wedding is great. He never thought that he will be married to the man of his dreams.

The marriage officiant started the ceremony with a few message for the couple and attendees. They exchanged their I do's and exchanged vows after.

Pete only prepared a simple vow to his partner. "I can't believe this day will come that I'll be married to you. A year ago, You were the man of my dreams. Today I will be your forever partner and we will be as one. I can't wait to share my life with you and the baby that is growing inside of me. I love you and you are the only person I will share my forever with." He said with a smile to Vegas.

Vegas then said his vows once Pete is done. "Remember when I said to you from the first day that from now on you're the most important person in my life? I mean it Pete and it will never change. I will make sure to take care of you for the rest of our lives. I will always be there for you and will always make you happy as we journey to this path that we choose. I love you Pete. Thank you for being there for me and for being my support. Thank you for trusting me and loving me unconditionally despite of my flaws and imperfection. I promise that we will share more moments together. From food to movies to everything. I can't wait to be part of your life. Of our lives... I am exclusively yours Pete." Vegas cries as he looks at Pete.

Pete tears suddenly flows. He was a tough guy before but he doesn't know why Vegas message, despite of being simple speech it took his breath away..maybe the way he delivers it made him emotional. Maybe because he was sincere to him. He wanted to hug his soon to be husband and tell him how thankful he is for everything.

They wore their gold wedding bands after they exchanged their vows.

The officiant smiles to them "it is my honor and delight to declare you married. Go forth and live each day to the fullest. You may seal this declaration with a kiss."

Vegas then holds him gently to his cheeks and he kissed Pete. Pete kissed him back. People around them clap and a loud cheer can be heard everywhere. Pete never thought that their guess despite of their differences and conflicts reunited on their wedding day. When Pete looked around he saw his grandmother crying and wiping her tears with a hanky. Some of the guest are also emotional including Porsche and Kinn. Today they are now partners, bonded by marriage.

It was a beautiful wedding indeed.

After the wedding ceremony, they headed through the reception and where greeted by guest. After some eating and wines and messages from their loved ones the newly wed couple changed their formal clothes to a casual attire and ready to go to the airport for their honeymoon.

" Please watch out for my grandson Vegas." Pete's grandmother said when they were about to leave.

" I am going to be okay Grandma." Pete assured to her. Vegas informed him that they will be staying in a transient house instead of a hotel so that he can cook his Grandmother's recipe that was handed to them a couple days ago. It was compilation of recipes with his grandmother's handwritten in a notebook.

" You make sure to cook food for him so he will not lost weight. It's important he eats properly for the baby." Pete's grandmother advised Vegas.

" As I promised, I will take care of him Grandma. Nothing to worry about." Vegas said.

" You make sure of that. Pete is the only thing I have." She said.

They shared a group hug before they leave the reception.

They also said their goodbyes to Macau and Gunn as well as to the major family. He was actually disappointed that Tankhun didn't show up. He wished that they could talk after the wedding.

Porsche noticed the sadness of Pete's face. " I know what you are thinking Pete." He said." I will try to talk to Tankhun. I know he is still didn't accept that you are married now to Vegas but hopefully you can have a conversation with him one day. He might be as stubborn as a rock but he will definitely accept this one day."

" Thank you Porsche." Pete smiles but he is still sad deep inside.  Hopefully he and Tankhun will meet soon. Maybe after their honeymoon.

They finally left the reception after a few goodbyes. They entered a luxurious car with a just married signed in the back. their luggages are inside the trunk of the car. Vegas is in the driver's seat while Pete is on his side.

They are heading to Khao Lak. A popular tourist destination in Southern Thailand. Pete actually wanted to go to Italy for their honeymoon since it was his dream to see the European country, especially the cities of Venice, Rome and Milan. But due to his condition, they can't travel overseas.

Vegas noticed his wife silent inside the car and looking around. " Once the baby is out. I promise to take you to Italy."

" That's not what I am thinking right now." Pete told his husband.

" Then what?"

" Tankhun." Pete answered. His wedding will be better if he was there.

Vegas sighed while his eyes are on the road driving to their destination. " Don't worry about him. He will be okay. I guess everything will be okay between you and him." He said. "Just think about our baby and us. And our honeymoon. I will make sure this honeymoon will be memorable."

Pete then smiles and nods. " Ok as you said." He realized he should focus more on his husband and their soon to be baby now that they are officially married.

After a few minutes they are finally inside the airport. Pete was actually surprised that he didn't have any symptoms. He was alright to this day. But he can't still eat the food that was served in the reception. It smells terrible.

He ended up eating a bread from the coffee shop while they are waiting for their flight.

" The first thing I will do is to cook you food when we reach the house." Vegas told him.

" I am excited for that." Pete said.

The pre-boarding flight announcement can be heard around. " Good afternoon passengers. This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight 89B to Khao Lak. We are now inviting those passengers with small children, and any passengers requiring special assistance, to begin boarding at this time. Please have your boarding pass and identification ready. Regular boarding will begin in approximately ten minutes time. Thank you."
