Waking up this morning was not pleasant; it wasn't even because of the remembrance of seeing Changkyun. Instead, it was the throbbing headache and a sore throat from drinking too much. I guess I should be glad I'm not nauseous.

Groaning, I fall back against the bed's headboard. Jisoo and DK are coming today, meaning I have to tell her about Changkyun. Having to tell Jisoo is almost worse than knowing it myself.

But I can't hide something like that from her, especially when I don't have a reason other than being scared.

"Where the hell did you go last night!" A sudden voice yells at me.

I spin my head towards the loud noise that just spiked my headache.

Sana stands in the doorway, a mix of anger and worry shown on her face. "Do you know how worried I was!" She continues to scold me. "I thought Monsta X did something to you! Or TXT! Or anything!"

I wince at the loud voice, making the already-pounding headache worse.

Sana softly sighs and walks over to sit beside me on the bed. "Next time, at least send me a fucking text," she says calmly, placing her hand on my shoulder and squeezing it. There is a playful smile on her lips, but at the same time, there's a threatening undertone in the way she holds my shoulder.

"Anyways, are you okay?" She lets go of my shoulder and moves to sit away from me with crossed legs. "What happened?"

"I just saw Jooheon and freaked out," I lie. Thankfully it's easily believable. "He didn't see me though," I quickly say, seeing Sana's eyes widen.

She breathes a sigh of relief, "Thank goodness. If he saw you while you were alone-" She shudders, "you probably would have died last night."

"But why?" I ask, unable to believe that he would want to murder me after a passing comment Jisoo made.

"You have Mingyu and DK to thank for that. No offense, but it was dumb for them to help you that night." She fixes her posture before continuing. "The most Jooheon was going to do was threaten you guys by telling you to never show up at the races again. But because they got involved," She groans before continuing, "Monsta X see you as someone important to them, and therefore wants to hurt you, to hurt Seventeen."

It's not like Sana is revealing anything too shocking. It was clear Monsta X and Seventeen were rivals, incredibly passionate rivals. Although, I wasn't aware the relationship was so bad that they were willing to murder two girls who barely interacted with Seventeen.

As I realize just how much hatred ran between the two groups, I have a sinking sensation in the pit of my stomach.

Jisoo and I's close friend is part of that group, and there's a good chance he'll turn on us because of it.

"I don't want to scare you," Sana interrupts my thoughts. "They won't mess with you if you're with someone. It's not worth the risk for them."

Her words are hardly comforting. Sure, it's nice knowing they most likely won't try and hurt me if I'm with someone, but what if, like last night, I'm left alone, and they see an opportunity? Worse, what if Changkyun is the one to do it?

But, even with how skeptical I am of him, I still refuse to say anything about him to Seventeen in the desperate hope that I'm wrong.

While it's probably good I asked the question; I can't help but deeply regret it. Even if it didn't cause more thinking about Changkyun, the stress of it has made my headache worse.

"Do you have any painkillers?"

"Hangover headache?" She asks, slightly tilting her head.

I simply nod.
