Nine years ago...

"Kacchan wait up" Deku yelled chasing behind us.

"Kacchan we should slow down and let him catch up a little bit" I said glancing behind me noticing how far away Deku was.

"Fine" Kacchan muttered as he slowed down. Kacchan and I walked slowly waiting for Deku to catch up.

Deku, Kacchan and I recently started kindergarten. We sit at the same table and immediately became best friends. We even came up with cute nicknames for each other.

"Hey n/n (nickname) your shoes untied"

"Oh, thanks Deku!" I bent down to tie my shoe. I stared at the shoe laces for a couple minutes trying to remember how to make the bunny ears. After struggling for five minutes Kacchan knelt down next to me.

"You idiot you don't even know how to tie your shoes. Let me do it."

"Thanks, Kacchan..." I said looking away embarrassed.

"N/n why is your face red?" Deku asked innocently.

"Its not red!" I pouted my face growing hotter. Kacchan looked up and our noses were only an inch apart. As I looked into his crimson eyes it felt like someone was holding a blow torch to my face.

"Your face is definitely red n/n." Kacchan said.

"Shut up." I pushed him away and stood up. I started running down the road embarrassed and confused. Why did my face get so hot when Kacchan looked at me?

Five years has passed and both Kacchan and I have developed our quirks. Deku, Kacchan, and I are still really close but ever since Kacchan got his quirk he's been kind of mean to Deku. I don't know what happened between them, but they argue all the time; It's really annoying.

"n/n we only have one more week of elementary school and then we'll be middle schoolers are you excited!" Deku said.

"Oh, um yeah" I flashed a quick fake smile at Deku. He walked away satisfied and went to talk to his other friends. I need to tell them before it's too late. Stupid dad getting his stupid new job in that stupid town three hours away from my two best friends. I frowned at my desk completely zoned out. I didn't even realize Kacchan was trying to talk to me.

"n/n... n/n... Hello? Hey dumbass snap out of it!"

"Huh did you say something?" I looked up and saw smoke come out of Bakugo's ears.

"Come with me dumbass I need to ask you something." Kacchan grabbed my wrist and dragged me to the stairs to the roof. I blushed as he held my wrist. I wonder what he has to tell me. When he opened the door to the roof a gust of wind blew my hair back. I closed my eyes and embraced the nice breeze. Kacchan led me to the ledge looking out to the woods; my favorite place in the entire school.

"So, what's up Kacchan?" He stayed silent for a while making me even more confused. I patiently waited for him to answer but I am not a patient person.

"If you don't have anything to say I'm leaving." I waited for another few minutes then got annoyed. I turned around to go back to class when Kacchan grabbed my arm and pulled me into him. I turned around and his nose was inches away from mine. I felt my face heat up and immediately turned my head to the side so he wouldn't notice. Katsuki kept one hand on my arm and put the other up to my chin forcing me to make eye contact with him. This caused me to blush even harder.

"K-Kacchan what are you- "

"F/n l/n I like you" he mumbled. My jaw dropped as I staired at him in complete shock. No way Katsuki Bakugo likes me. I've been in love with him since kindergarten and now he decides to confess his feelings. Right before I leave. I noticed his cheeks were tinted pink. He looked away then back at me waiting for an answer. I need to tell him...

"I like you too Katsuki... But I... I'm moving next week. My dad got this new job and its three hours away so..." I felt tears form in my eyes and I looked at the ground. After five years of being in love with Katsuki, he finally likes me back and I'm leaving in less than a week. Katsuki moved my head back up to look at me. When I opened my eyes, his lips were on mine. It was messy and awkward, and our teeth bumped into each other but to me it was perfect. Katsuki pulled away and gave me a small sad smile. I smiled back and threw my arms around him and pulled him into a hug. I saw Deku hiding in the doorway and he gave me a small thumbs up. I smiled at him. Deku has known I've liked Katsuki since before I realized it and he's been my biggest supporter throughout the years. Katsuki pulled away and held my hand.

"I want to make you as happy as possible before you leave y/n."

"Okay" I replied, we walked towards the stairs and went back to class.

I've spent the last week with Kacchan and Deku. We went to our favorite playground and ice cream places together. We chased each other around and wrestled and caught frogs. It was the best week of my life. But now it was time to leave. Dad put the last box into the moving truck and climbed into the car.

"You have five minutes to say goodbye y/n" Dad said.

I looked over to Deku and gave him a big hug.

"I'll miss you Deku don't forget me, okay?" I said holding back tears.

"I won't I promise" He replied.

"Hey Deku let go of her its my turn" Katsuki grumbled. Deku let go and I ran into Katsuki's arms. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath into his shirt trying to memorize his scent.

"Don't forget me Katsuki I'll come back one day okay I promise."

"I won't forget you and I'll wait for you, okay?"

"Okay"

We all hugged one last time and the boys walked me to the car.

"Be nice to Deku please and Deku keep an eye on Kacchan okay?"

"Okay"

And with that Dad drove away to our new home.
