Nexus (The Shadow)

Second encounter

9:45 pm.
He's at: Nexus Hotel
Mission: status:follow up
NT: will refer to interviewer.

(Interviewer walks into the room and sits down)

Agent(redacted) enters the room. and
Sits down.across from him.

NT "we heard you caught your former partner "

Agent "yea. We were sent on a mission me and one other agent. We were driving  down some dark road on the interstate. Our mission was to investigate some strange flashes of light, coming from a major wooded area in(redacted)S. Dakota. Now me and my new partner. Thought that this was going to be an easy mission.until my old partner showed up.

I was shocked a little to say the least.
(agent gets angry)

He it goes. This guy we all thought was dead.  haven't seen him in months. Last I seen of him. He's cracking me over the head. Fast forward months later, every search returns failed.

(agent calms down)

And this guy is just waiting for me. Standing there in the road.
So I slammed on the breaks.

He was standing in the middle of the road. He no longer seemed human.To be honest. Something felt very menacing from his aura. His eyes were red and glowing. I could see them through his helmet.
His suit. Of course posed no threat to us. It was deactivated the week after he went missing. And High Tower. assumed him dead.

(Agent is distracted by what NT is doing)

NT (writes in notes, puts notes in folder and puts folder away, pulls photos out from desk drawer.)

NT "we have pictures from your helmet."

1st Photo
Shows a class 1 mech suit.(check divisions folder for reference) Tattered and broken. Across the arms and chest. And neck. Skin shows in these openings and appears to be a pale bluish color.

2nd Photo
Shows bright red glowing eyes. Through the helmet. With a second set of circles at the edges of the eyes center.

NT "this is a shade.They are from another dimension. And they usually continue to interact with. The people who were friends of there host. There unwanted presents usually kills the host. In 48"

(NT Looks a little flustered. And has no idea where he just received this knowledge from, And brings back his professional Demeanor)

Agent " well I already knew he was dead. Hell the second he attacked me on our last mission. I knew that wasn't him.
But don't we have a division that deals with Inter-dimensional entities?"

NT "yes but there busy dealing with something much more pressing at the moment. There known as the supernatural committee. Not many agents know about them. Only the highest ranking ones. You really do your research don't you?"

Agent "well I've devoted myself to growing in this field and with this organization. In order to do that. I have to go further than anyone else would in my position."

NT "let's continue. What happened next?"

Agent "well, we stopped the car.and materialized our suits. As we stepped out. we were ready to kill this thing. It took a step and then vanished. Before reappearing behind my partner. And throwing him about 700 feet away from the vehicle and me. Then he leaped over the car. like a rabid animal but with precision.

So I charged a plasma round and fired several hitting it right in the chest and the face. Needless to say. He stopped moving. I radioed into my partner.That I killed it. So he sat up. And just sat there. Didn't move at all. So I immediately called for back up. And they captured him before anything major or bizarre happened. "

NT " Doctors from the research labs. Tell me he's in a trance. They haven't been able to get his mind or eyes to respond to anything. They assume the entity may be trying to possess him to. But for some reason. Isn't fairing so well against this one. And that. maybe this will lead to a way. To stop the shades from possessing people. Along with that. Interesting data from Eagle Eye team.(once again NT receiving knowledge but passes it off as a higher divisions findings) States that There have only been a few encounters with these entities. And for some reason they only target agents. So we suspect that they are being directed at us. But by who we don't know. Anyways. Your interview is over. Please take your leave. Any updated information will be sent to your PDA"

Agent  " oh ok and thanks "
(Agent gets up and walks out of the room. Noticing the NT is flustered
But brushes it of)

The interviewer stayed behind for a few mins to clean up the desk and grab his folders. And the room got very cold.
He felt a strange feeling run up his spine. But it wasn't threatening. His eyes began to itch. And then burn. For a moment. Until they stopped. He walked over to the sink He washed his face and then looked in the mirror. And his eyes were black. He didn't scream. But he fellt chills run down his whole body.  To which he then heard a raspy voice echoing as it spoke through out the room.

"I'm gonna help you kill those goddamn things.(voice gets angry) Nobody gets away with harming my family. No body!
