Authors notes: serious wallyXartemis oneshot :/
I kinda slaughtered Artemis' character a bit. She's not really a kick-ass girl like she's supposed to be. oh well, I guess we'll say she's like this because Wally makes her feel sooo nervous... :3 comment! Comments make me happy!!! And follow me to let me know to continue with this spitfire obsession! Seriously, i think I have a problem with this and harry potter. That's all I want to write about lately! D:
And I dedicated it to my fellow spitfire obsessor, greenarcheress! She's awesome- go check her out NOW!!! :) she even dedicated a spitfire fic of hers to me! *i feel so special*

I was just shooting archery like usual in the gym when wally comes up to me, all proud and arrogant as usual. And without a shirt.
"what do you want?" I ask impatiently, not even bothering to say a greeting to the freckled redhead. Hey, I was supposed to hate the guy.
"oh, nothing..." he answers slyly, getting uncomfortably close to me with his bare chest. I poke his stomach and press it away from me.
"whatever. If you're going to bother me, get out. If you're going to stay, get a shirt, please." I tell him.
"why? Am I BOTHERING you?" he snickers, leaning in on me with his chest. God, why did he have to be so damn cute? If he wasn't, he'd be dead by now.
"you wish," I scowl, blushing furiously, hoping he didn't notice.
"I don't hear you complaining, arty..." Wally says tauntingly, and I glare at him.
"get out," I narrow my eyes, since there's no way I'll be able to lie straight to his face about this.
"ooh, someone likes it!" Wally grins, flaunting his toned chest.
"why don't you go bother 'megalicious' now?" I suggest, pursing my lips together.
"nah, you're funnier to bug. You react better." Wally explains, sitting down on the bench behind me. "don't you have any snacks you bring to training?"
I decide to let him stay. "in my bag. There's some apples and stuff. Dunno what exactly. Grabbed stuff closest to me in the fridge."
Wally digs through my bag and pulls out some unidentifiable jar. "is that why you have a thing of mayo in here?"
I laugh. "ya. Guess so."
"aren't you going to shoot arrows or something?" Wally asks, peeling a banana.
"oh-" I blush. "yeah," I concentrate hard, feeling Wally's green eyes on me in the background. I pull back the arrow, my hand immediately slick with sweat. I position myself to shoot, and take a deep breath. I hear Wally chewing in the background as I release.
"you missed." Wally comments.
"yeah, I know that, kid genius!" I yell. Shit. First time I had missed the target in months.
"jeez, no need to get that upset about it." Wally frowns. "I mess up all the time."
"of course you do." I say through clenched teeth, fists curled into balls.
"what's that supposed to mean?" Wally asks, hurt.
"I don't need your comfort!" I yell angrily. "y-you just made me nervous, that's all!"
"oh really?" Wally grins.
"shut up! It's not like that!" I flush redder than Wally's hair. "it's just with the chewing, the staring, the teasing-" I cut off at a loss for words, and turn to see Wally grinning from ear to ear.
"here, let me try."
"what? Excuse me?" I ask.
"I wanna try. Give me the bow." Wally says slowly.
"no way! You'd break it." I protest, but he gets up with his super speed and yanks it away from me. "hey!"
"let me shoot one or I really WILL break it." Wally threatens, and I reluctantly let him ready himself. "how the heck do I do this anyway?"
"spread your legs out more," I order, and he raises the bow in a goofy fashion. "stop the stupid stance, west. Move that arm back-" I grab his right elbow that's holding the arrow and move it back gently, making us both turn bright red.
"is this right?" Wally asks, holding the bow, and surprisingly it's perfect.
"yeah, that's actually really good. How'd you know?" I ask.
"well, I see you do this a lot when you're out kicking ass and stuff." Wally flushes, and I smile.
"pull back the arrow and let go." I grin, and he does so. The arrow flies and the shot is terrible, I must say. The arrow sticks in the outside ring, though, and Wally smiles crookedly.
"aren't I a natural, artemis?" he jokes, and I agree. "maybe I have to be named after an archer or something," he says thoughtfully. "I could be apollo or something."
"I think you'd be a Cupid, actually," I laugh. "running around shirtless and in a diaper."
"oh, you want more of this?" Wally laughs, signaling to his chest and pushing me against the wall. We stare into each other's eyes for a while in silence. His eyes are gorgeous. It's not like I haven't noticed his stunning eyes before from afar- but up close they were more like emeralds than eyes. Shifting colors and shades of green with the light and entrancing me.
"I-I like your eyes," he whispers, and I flush redder than his hair. "they're grey, with flecks of blue. They're pretty."
I was about to say, "of course I know my eye color, Wallace!", but how he described my eyes was so darn sweet. So I sealed my lips. Instead, I was marveling over at the situation. Wally west had actually complimented me.
"your eyes are pretty too." I smile back, my voice barely over a whisper. "green. That's my favorite color."
"mine is yellow," Wally says.
I nod. "w-Wally, you still don't have a shirt on."
"your point?"
"if you're going to kiss me, at least be clothed up top." I manage to get out, somewhat shakily.
Wally doesn't seem to be bothered by me using the k-word, nor is he denying my prediction. "Artemis, you're not fooling me. You honestly don't care, do you?"
"not really." I shrug defiantly. "how can you tell?"
"di- Robin's been dropping hints 'bout our liking of each other since you joined the team."
"why does he have to be a fricking detective?" I breathe.
"dunno. At times I really wish he wasn't." Wally shrugs.
"tell me about it." I grin. "Soo-o, you really like me?"
"why, do you?" Wally asks hesitantly.
"answer the question, west." I order.
"yeah," he confesses, and immediately tenses up. "please don't hit me."
"I wasn't going to hit you." I reassure him, shocked. He thought I was going to be mad? I was the opposite of mad.
"what?" Wally frowns. "why?"
"cause I like you too, idiot." I giggle- that's right, giggle. God, if dad were here- I would be so dead. Wally was really making me feel loopy.
"seriously?" wally asks, mouth hanging open.
"yeah."
"oh- well..." Wally says blankly. "a-Artemis, I wasn't expecting this... um... Di-did you want to go out or something then? O-or, if not, that's completely fine. But, if y-you wanted to... We could go someplace. I mean, only if you really want to. Anything's okay with me."
"Wally!" I yell, cutting him off by placing a finger on his blabbing lips.
Wally stops and looks into my eyes. In silence, he lifts up my chin and connects our lips. We don't need words.
