Chapter 5: the big game

Gavin had his football pads on and pants too. His fellow players patted there QB and head out to the game. "You can do this" he whispered to himself. Gabby would be cheer on the sidelines for him. He took a deep breath and jogged to the field.

"Go big blue!" The cheerleaders cheered. Gavin was doing great! Every once and awhile he waver at her and Brit gave her a glare. What's her problem? Oh well.

They won the game! 18-6! After the game when everyone cheered Gavin ran over to gabby. He picked her up and hugged her. "You did it!" She said. She planted a big kiss on his cheek.

"Hey, you want something to eat? It's on me" he said. Gabby was going to say yes when Brit walked over.

"Can we talk?" She said. Why? Gabby didn't do anything but still she nodded and Gavin went to talk to his players. "Gavin is mine!" She scowled at me. "Leave him alone and everything will be fine!" She clenched her fist and that made Gabby jump.

"He asked me out and he's mine" Gabby said and walked over to him. She made sure Gabby was looked and the kissed right there. Some people cheered and some smiled. All except for Brit.

"Liza, how'd your date with Gabe go?" They where talking on the phone.

"I dumped him! He kept starring at the waitress and I just got up and left" there was a gasp on the other line "I'm just not meant for dating, so how did the game go?"

"Good, they won! And Brit tried to start a fight with me and... Oh Ya! Gavin and I kissed!" There was a long pause.

"You kissed?! OMG! Darn Brit but you are good Gabby!" She smiled. She knew her best friend would be happy for her.

Gavin stayed up all night. He kept thinking of Gabby on the sidelines with her skirt and... He needed to call her. He looked at his phone, 9 am! He could call her but what if she... His phone rang. It was her!

"Hello?" He awncered.

"Hey, I had fun last night and was wondering, are you dating Brit?" What?!

"No way! She had a crush on me though... Hey, want to go to the park today?" He said, trying to change the subject.

"Sure, I'll meet at your house at noon" then she hung up. Better start packing for a pick nick!

At school on Monday, Katie was at PE. Adam had waved and smiled her! Why was he still acting as they where together? But then everything got solved. "Hey, why have you been ignoring me?" He asked.

Katie pulled out her phone with out a word and showed him the text. His face changed for confused to mad. He marched over to Tom and asked him something. When he came back he explained that Tom had done it! I wonder why...

Today was a bad day and a thief is among us. Katie's shoes have been stolen and Gabby's $10! Why is it and why? It was...
